    Hi

I’ve just ran the Google PageSpeed Insights, and it found that the Slide images needs 97% reduction for mobile platforms – plus some blocking scripts and CSS.

You can see the result of your own demo-site:
    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcatchthemes.com%2Fdemo%2Fcatch-responsive%2F&tab=mobile

As you state in the features list: “Responsive Design
One of the key features of our themes is that your website will magically respond and adapt to different screen sizes delivering an optimized design for iPhones, iPads, and other mobile devices. No longer will you need to zoom and scroll around when browsing on your mobile phone.

So please consider making these optimizations in the next release.

    Thanks 🙂

    Best regards
    Thomas

@Thomas: Responsive design doesn’t mean that it will load different image for mobile devices. It will load same image in mobile devices with responsive css to make it fit. All responsive theme that you will find in WordPress uses same. So, we don’t have control on this. You can check all other themes and also default WordPress theme does the same.

    Hi Sakin

I hope you are doing okay in Nepal.

I know that, but maybe you could consider making duplications of the slider-images with reduced sizes, and then check for the users platform and use a smaller image for that platform. I don’t say that a 100% fit is the target, but with for example three different image sizes, you could achieve a noteworthy improvement on smaller devices.

@Thomas: Sorry bit WordPress doesn’t have that option at this stage. WordPress is trying to improve on that and trying to improve wp_is_mobile functions and more. Then only we can do that. Yes, I understand your issue and all the theme have same issue.
