I generated a flavicon using an online generator. (https://www.favicon-generator.org/) I don’t need it of course since I can create the flavicon under site identity.
However the generator did give me a string of links & images that will create app icons and it says to paste them into the head of the html document. Can you tell me where I might put these.Examples are
<link rel=”apple-touch-icon” sizes=”57×57″ href=”/apple-icon-57×57.png”>
<link rel=”apple-touch-icon” sizes=”60×60″ href=”/apple-icon-60×60.png”>
<link rel=”apple-touch-icon” sizes=”72×72″ href=”/apple-icon-72×72.png”>
<link rel=”apple-touch-icon” sizes=”76×76″ href=”/apple-icon-76×76.png”>I assume I save all the .png files that are associated to the root directory of the WP site. Is this correct… or can you advise.
Thanks

Let me know if you have anymore issues.

Can you tell me where I would put the code (examples above) the generator is telling me to “paste them into the head of the html document”. And also where would I upload the images…I believe they are to go in the root folder.
Thanks

WordPress automatically generates favicon when you upload an image to Site Icon section. For more information I suggest you to use wordpress.org support forum.
