MemberHey, this is a pretty serious issue. We just bought and activated the pro template. The menu is pulling up a bunch of pages that I’ve unchecked, deleted the items and finally deleted the whole menu, but this is what I’ve got – http://allwoodstree.com/
It’s a mess.

MemberI’ve gotten rid of some of the pages, but right, my menu shouldn’t exist at all – it’s been deleted, yet here it is. sigh.

Keymaster@pmt1992: By default it will show all the pages. If you want custom menu then you can create your own custom menu from “Appearance => Menus” then you need to assign location for menu at “Appearance => Menus => Manage Locations”.

MemberThanks but this isn’t about custom menus(which I’m very familiar with.) The default box was unchecked, but I could only remove the pages by unpublishing them. Plus I actually lost our Services page. Finally I went to Appearance/Menus and deleted the entire menu so I could build a new one. As you can see, the menu is still showing. http://allwoodstree.com/
groan.

Keymaster@pmt1992: I don’t get it what are you trying to do it. Can you explain please? The best way to go with the menus in by building custom menu. Unpublishing pages is not a good way. Can you try using custom menu. This is best.

MemberThe custom menu is NOT the problem. The reason I had to un-publish pages is because deleting them from the custom menu didn’t work. Deleting the entire menu on the Menu page didn’t work. That would be why I’m here. (Just as an FYI, very familiar with WP.)
The site was built by someone other than me using the free template. We bought the pro template. Renamed the free template folder, installed the new template folder. Menu threw up a mess of pages, we lost our Services Page all together and now have a mystery menu that has been deleted in the dashboard and is still showing up on the site. Sorry if I sound a little cranky.

Keymaster@pmt1992: I am already out of your site. Why you are being so patience less. You custom css is there only.

MemberYou know what – nobody authorized you to make any changes on a site – just to look and figure out what was wrong, then offer a solution. You don’t own that site and you shouldn’t be doing anything to it. Patient-less – yeah, you’re right, I don’t have much patience for folks who overstep. And maybe if the CSS was there when I got your “I deleted the menu” email, I wouldn’t have been concerned.

Keymaster@pmt1992: I am replying you as fast as possible and also I haven’t deleted your css. Can’t you check in. I was checking why there was issue and haven’t touch any of your code.

MemberReally? and here I thought you deleted the menu and wanted to know what pages I wanted added to it? Must have been someone else I gave the login to.
