Hi,
I am trying to add an image/headline to the ‘footer sidebar’ area of my homepage. Please see the link below for a screenshot of what I’m roughly looking for – i.e. blue bar that says “OLS News and Updates” in yellow. (I created that mockup in Photoshop.)Is this possible?
Thanks, as always.
(FYI – I am hosting the site locally while it’s in development, so unfortunately, I can’t share the URL.)

To add this type of customization, you need to build child theme and add all the customization in your child theme. For this you need to have child theme, actions hook and functions knowledge. So, I suggest you to hire customizer for this task.

i.e. If I could duplicate the area that currently says “A top notch education experience…”, could I potentially drop that functionality into the space where I was planning to put the blue banner?

In the Catch Everest ‘demo’ (http://catchthemes.com/demo/catch-everest/), there is a bottom section with a “Catch Everest Pro Text Widgets” headline. This is similar to what I’m looking for. But, I can’t figure out how to create that headline. Can you help?
(When I upgraded to ‘Pro’, my changes must have overridden this area.)
Thanks.
November 13, 2014 at 10:36 pm #47436SakinKeymaster@fmck718: The text “Catch Everest Pro Text Widgets” in the footer of demo site is added from “Appearance => Widgets”. Just add Text widget in Footer Area One and then add the title and content. That’s all.
