ParticipantHi,
Referring to Theholyfish.com , when some posts are included in the header highlight content it creates gaps in the grid, such that some grid spots are empty while the posts are displaced onto lower rows.
I’ve checked the size of the featured image for problematic posts and they appear correct. I read another forum post where font size was mentioned, but it doesn’t look like the font is spilling over here. When I view the page in WordPress ‘customise appearance’, the grid is displayed correctly.
Thanks,
Mat.

Keymaster@banno2000: The issue your are facing is because 2 of the 5 post in the Header Highlight Content has incorrect image dimensions. Second(Psychology of Travel: 3 Reality Checks to Remember) and the Fifth(Travel Packing Tips). Currently the image sizes are
293 x 164
the second image and293 x 196
the fifth image. The correct dimension is293 x 220
. Remaining three image has correct dimensions. Please use the image on second and fifth as the same size used in others. Let me know if any problem.Regards,

ParticipantIn the plugin I use for cropping thumbnails, the closest specified thumbnail to those dimensions is ‘post-thumbnail’ at 585×439, which is double the correct dimensions. I’ve recropped and saved the images for the post-thumbnail dimensions, but it still is showing incorrectly.
Perhaps the plugin isn’t working correctly – is there one that you recommend?

ParticipantI’ve installed a new plugin and used it to recrop the feature image for every posts in the Header Highlight Content. It, like the other plugin, doesn’t identify a 293 x 220 image size for the theme. The list it gives is:
* thumbnail – 90×68
* post-thumbnail – 585×439
* helena-slider – 1170×658
* helena-small – 90×68The closest proportionally is 585×439. I have recropped for that size, and helena-small, and thumbnail.
The problem is still occurring, depending on the screen size. I think at some points it is due to the images scaling down but not the font size. But this may not be the only reason.

Keymaster@banno2000: For some reason the reply didn’t get posted. The image size used is 585×439 for both large and small image and is controlled by CSS. And the problem in your case is that two of the image are of different dimensions apart from the other that’s why its causing the design issue. Please use the image with same proportion.
