    Hello!

    Is there a way to change the language of the months that show up in each entry of the “Story” section? Currently, month names are in English. I would like them to be in another language like Italian, or just as numbers.

    So, instead of “20 June, 2017” I would like to have “20 giugno 2017” or “20 – 06 – 2017”.

    Thanks!
    Paolo

    @pzacchia: Hello Paolo,

    The update has been released. Please update the theme to the latest version.

    Then,

    Go to => Dashboard = >Settings => General => Site Language => Select Italiano and Save Changes.

    Let me know if this resolves your issue.
    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    Thanks @skandha, that works perfectly.

    If something similar could be done at some point for the “Countdown” feature too (it too displays “Months”, “Days” etc. in English only, even when changing the website’s language) that would be wondrous.

    @pzacchia: Hello Paolo,

    First you will need to translate the strings.

    To translate the strings in the theme first of all you will need to use Poedit software. Install and Open the software.

    Create New Translation => Browse and Select catch-wedding-pro.pot file from the languages folder and Click Open => Select the language as Italian.
    Now, you will see a list of translation ready strings and Translation text area where you can add the required translation. Search for the strings you want to translate like DAYS, MINUTES, HOURS, SECONDS and son on and add the translation. When you are done translating the strings save the file to the languages folder.

    Now,Go to => Dashboard => Settings => Select Site Language as Italiano and Save Changes.

    But I suggest you to create a child theme before doing all this as when you update the theme to the newer version the translation you added will be lost or what you can do is you can translate majority of the strings available for translation and email it to me and I shall add it to the theme itself with your name as the contributor.

    Let me know if this helps you out!
    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    @skandha, thanks! Excellent description and instructions, I appreciate.

    I don’t have time in the next few days, but afterwards I’ll experiment with this and report in case I have problems (hopefully not).

    Kind Regards,
    Paolo
