ParticipantI have numerous Catch Mustang sites and are encountering many problems accessing opening widgets (ie general sidebar) customise site option, quick edit, and other options.
The problems were first noticed four days ago.

Participant@jeffemupark: Hello there,
I checked for the issue at my end but the editing Widgets seems to be working fine. Did this happen after WP 5.5 update?Kind Regards,

ParticipantYes it happened after an upgrade of WordPress .5.5
WP have since issued another upgrade to 5.5.1
All plugins and theme is up to date.
I am still having problems and today I had one of my clients check their site and yes they do have the same problems as mentioned.
Cheers

ParticipantHi Skandha. Do you have any updated information on this matter please.
I have over 30 catch mustang websites encountering this problem. I have checked and tested some of my other sites which use WP themes (i.e. twenty 17 and twenty 16) and everything works fine.
Some of the problems I am still encountering in ‘Mustang’ Dashboard admin area.
Unable to access ‘theme customiser’ area
‘quick edit’ on pages and post index list page
in widgets the selected widget button field won’t open
Can you advice me on any progress re this matter
Thanks

ParticipantHi Skandha
This morning I accessed the admin dashboard area of my website that I emailed you with the username and password (as requested by you).
Have you been able to make any progress with this problem.
Just now I have successfully downgraded the wordpress version from 5.5.1 (latest version) to 5.4.2 using WP downgrade plugin. As a result I was able to access and edit all the problem areas with 5.4.2
I then upgraded again to 5.5.1 and all the problems returned.

NOTE: I have kept the plugin WP downgrade active in the plugins if you wish to see how 5.4.2 allows access.
I look forward to your reply. As mentioned I have over 30 sites that are encountering the same problems.

ParticipantHi Skandha,
I have I believe solved my problems with the Catch Mustang Themes. I have installed / activated this plugin created by the WordPress Team and my sites now are functioning as before the 5.5.1 update. FYI – I have copied and paste the notice generated
Enable jQuery Migrate Helper
Version 1.0.1 | By The WordPress Team |When the plugin was activated this warning appeared.
jQuery Migrate Helper — Warnings encounteredThis page generated the following warnings:
https://www.thetradiespa.com/wp-content/themes/catch-mustang/functions/panel/js/add_image_scripts_widget.js: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated
Please make sure you are using the latest version of all of your plugins, and your theme. If you are, you may want to ask the developers of the code mentioned in the warnings for an update.

Skandha I hope that might assist with fixing the errors I encountered
