In reply to: Crop Slider Image
rgcolesMemberHi,
I’m also using the Featured Image Slider Option but would like to add content and have the photo to the left of the content instead of above the content.
Is there a way to do this?

Thank you,
Robin
btw, I’m having trouble finding where I’m supposed to create a new post

moffieMemberHi Sakin,
The issue remains, even if I disable the plugins.
I’d like to have an image in my header, it doesn’t have to be the Featured Slider. Is there another way I can add a static image into the header?September 23, 2013 at 8:06 am #14935In reply to: Crop Slider Image
SakinKeymaster@Terry M: Look like WordPress upload error. Can you tell me which theme are you using it. To check if that is WordPress Setup or Theme Issue. You can change to default them and check in.
To upload Featured Image Slider in “Simple Catch Pro”, follow the instruction as below.
1. Click on Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider from your WordPress Dashboard
2. Click on Slider Options, then click on Image Slider
3. Click on Featured Image Slider Options
4. Then upload the images, once the upload is complete, click on Insert Into Post
5. Then add in the tile, content, link and target as needed
6. Click on Save Changes buttonSeptember 22, 2013 at 10:25 pm #14928In reply to: Crop Slider Image
Terry MMemberThe video instructions look different than what I see. At 27:16 I click post thumbnail editor link but I don’t see any photos.
Can you send instructions for using featured image slider. Also, when I upload my image 976×313 I get an error – Error saving media attachment. Do you know why.

Dignan17MemberOoo, I see that one of my ideas is already part of Everest! I can change the slider to match categories instead of specific posts. Great minds think alike 🙂 Haha!
This is 100% exactly what I’d love to see from the featured content area.

Dignan17MemberThanks for the consideration. I’d love to just have it handled exactly the same way the slider is handled, where you enter post numbers for the ones you want in those three slots.
Or, have it handle the way I mentioned. I’m thinking you could tag certain posts with with a “Featured” category, and the theme will throw the three most recent posts in that category into the featured content section. I’d love to be able to handle the slider in this way too…

SakinKeymaster@Terry M: Simple Catch Pro theme “Post Slider” uses the image size 976px width and 313px height. So, you need to upload the image with that size so that it doesn’t crop. You can also check this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oiov0L4blIw, you can just skip to 22 minutes.
Next option is to use “Featured Image slider” where you can upload any image you want. It will not crop it.
September 22, 2013 at 1:47 am #14892In reply to: remove featured text and
SakinKeymaster@sakino akura: If you are using Catch Box Free theme, then you can add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom Css” box to hide the text box in the slider.
#slider-wrap .featured-text { display: none; }
September 18, 2013 at 11:24 pm #14743In reply to: Add line to break slider and page content
SakinKeymaster@tnotty: In this case, you can remove the old css I gave you and add the following one.
.featured-slider { border-bottom: 40px solid #fee000; }

SakinKeymaster@johnbroganjr: Please check the theme instruction at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest/
1. Go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider” in your WordPress Dashboard
2. To add Posts in the slider, click on Slider Options and simply insert the ID numbers for posts in the boxes, one post ID number in each box
3. To change the slider effects and timing, go to Slider Effect Options which is just below Slider Options
4. Click on Save buttonSeptember 18, 2013 at 7:38 pm #14726In reply to: Link text in slideshow to specific page
SakinKeymaster@rlsdesigns: Sorry you cannot link to page in Catch Everest Free Theme. If you want your slider to link to different links then you need to use Featured Image Slider. Featured Image slider gives your freedom to select link, title, content as per you wish, all optional. See this screenshot of Featured Image Slider http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798329509357/

SakinKeymaster@Eleina: Yours in also same.
1. You have large logo image http://www.captivatinghearts.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/473770215.jpg . You can replace that with small logo image from “Appearance => Theme Options => Logo Options”
2. Then you have menu
3. You don’t have slider. You can add slider from “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. See theme instruction at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/simple-catch/ and for this slider, you need posts.September 17, 2013 at 5:59 pm #14682In reply to: Featured Slider Problem

bekay86MemberSo… I updated the theme….It should be “clean” now.
But, however, the sliders are still not working…
September 17, 2013 at 5:51 pm #14676In reply to: Featured Slider Problem
SakinKeymaster@bekay86: I see that you are using version 2.6 so you can just go to “Appearance => Them” then you will see update message. You can just click on update to update theme them which will restore your file as well.

bekay86MemberOk, and how can I restore the theme without losing my customized stuff?
I think about to uprade to Pro. Have I still to restore the theme, when I upgrade it?
Thanks a lot!!!
September 17, 2013 at 4:55 pm #14672In reply to: Featured Slider Problem
SakinKeymaster@bekay86: I see that you have customize the core theme files. So, restore the Theme and then it will work fine.
Please do not remove the footer theme text in Free theme as that is the only recognition that we get for providing free theme and free support.
If you want to edit footer text then upgrade to Pro version and change it easily though “Footer Option” from “Appearance => Theme Options”. See more about Catch Box Pro at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-box-pro/
