I’ve been having a continual problem since I launched my website, wildhairgardener.com, created with word press catch theme.
My web hosting is through Ipage.com.
At first it worked. For about a week.
Then, I (and readers) continually receive this error message when going to wildhairgardener.com:
————————————–
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
———————————————————–My website being unavailable has been happening since April 05. Really.
Ipage told me to send them a photo showing the URL so I did (actually a friend took a picture from her computer, as originally Ipage just kept telling me to clear my cache in order to get on, so I did believe for a couple of weeks that my laptop was the problem. But myriad people told me they couldn’t get on.
I’m going to show you a couple of support ‘tickets’ I’ve received, and usually it’s the same story. We aren’t finding any problem with your website, try it again, and always, for the very next 12 hours I can get on, but that’s it. Then I’m right back to getting the error message instead of my website.
I also can’t get on, wildhairgardener/wp-admin. Nothing helps.
From April 25

Hello,I completely understand your concern and would be more than happy to look into the request right away. I have tried accessing the website ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/’ and Admin page ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/wp-admin’ both are loading up fine. Here is the screenshot ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/test.jpg’ and ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/test1.jpg’. I noticed that your website is created through WordPress, you may also wish to look into installing caching plugins for your WordPress applications, etc. as these can improve performance, especially on popular sites, by reducing the number of MySQL queries required when a page is requested. Reducing the number of articles on the front page will also help in this area. These measures will have greater impact than any fine-tuning we might be able to do on the MySQL server side.
There are various reasons why a website or web page loading slowly. The WordPress Plugins are a great way to add special functionality to a website. However, many plugins often increase the size of each page and load unnecessary CSS files and JavaScript. So be sure to deactivate any plugins which are not being used. Additionally, please optimize your database and images to increase the loading speed.
We recommend looking to into optimizing your WordPress site by either installing cache plugins or even manually optimizing the databases the sites use. Here is a couple of popular plugins.
1) http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/
2) http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/I have also accessed all the links of the website ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/’ in mobile device and it is loading up fine. Could you please verify it once again from your end? If the issue still persists, please provide the screenshot of the error message you are getting so that we can investigate the issue further.
——————————————————–As always, after I contact Ipage, I can magically get onto my website, usually for that day. So I then activated the wp caching plug-in, which they said would help. But nope. Still no website, and same error message.
Here’s the same (third now) response I keep getting.
———————————————————
Hello,
I have checked the screenshot provided, it showed internal server error, but I couldn’t notice the website URL in it. I have checked your website ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/’ and the WordPress admin page ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/wp-admin’, they are loading fine. I have uploaded a screenshot at ‘http://wildhairgardener.com/New%20Image.gif’. I would request you to verify the functionality of the website once again from your end.
If you have any further questions, please update the support console.
————————————————————————Here’s the most recent (and most honest, I think) response I received from Ipage today. I am so frustrated I could pop, and they know that. Remember this has been going on for 3 weeks, and never do they find a problem on their end. However, finally, this time, they can’t get on either.
—————-
Hello,I could replicate the issue. I have troubleshooted a lot regarding this issue. However, I couldn’t fix it. It appears to be issue with wordpress customization. Thus, I suggest you to reinstall the application. Before reinstalling, please take the backup of database, wp-content and wp-config.php file then reinstall the application from your end. After that, you can import database, wp-content and wp-config.php file to reinstalled application.
If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.
Sincerely,
Abel Sandrik

——————————————————-Here’s the biggest problem. I CAN’T get onto my website to do ANYTHING.
Why is this happening?
This is a brand new website. I don’t have 1,000 visitors a day. Maybe 5.
Not that they can get on.
I know this has been long, but I really need to know if this is a wordpress problem or a web hosting problem.
I’ve spent many long hours creating my wordpress website to no avail. I’m frustrated and need to know what to do to fix this issue.
(P.S. I do not have the slider operating, either!)
Whatever insights you may have will be very helpful, thanks so much.
Denise

Yes, it is recommended to use W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache as per you site need. Also, you have have lot of traffic to site then I think you need to consider looking for other best hosting companies.
