All of a sudden the images within my posts shrink until they are tiny when my site is viewed in Explorer and on a desktop monitor. I stripped every bit of CSS off my site and am still having the problem. I reset the image size when I inserted the images and that did not help. When I tried one of the wordpress themes (Twenty Fifteen) the images were fine.

Any idea what is causing this? Is it a theme issue? Browser issue? WordPress issue?

I may have to change out my theme until I figure it out.

    Thanks.

@2 Brown Dawgs Blog: After you take out all your custom css and reset. Did you go to “WP Super Cache” plugin settings and clear your cache.

    Yes I did.

I am no expert, but from what I have been able to see (through trial and error) is that if there is some sort of border or container around the image then the image does not fill and it shrinks to smaller than thumbnail size. Or it may have something to do with the caption. Featured images are fine. It is only the images within the post that shrink and only if viewed with Internet Explorer and on a larger screen or monitor (on my laptop and phone they are fine). I was alerted to this by one of my readers as a recent change.

I am not sure what changed or where (browser, or wordpress–the theme has not changed/no recent updates). I tried to insert some CSS but I am a novice and it did not work.

@2 Brown Dawgs Blog: Ok can you activate that theme and let me know it. Then I will check in from large screens.

I decided to change to Chicago Pro which seems to be working fine.
