    I have successfully used and updated the slider up to WP v4.1.1.

    I updated to v4.2.2, and now I can’t modify the slider in any way – adding or removing news posts to it. I’ve essentially had to remove the slider from the site altogether.

    Any helpful suggestions are appreciated.

    @txcelt: Sorry I don’t get it what you mean. Do you mean that after you update WordPress 4.2.2 you couldn’t modify slider? Can you post in your site URL and explain bit. Sometime, it might be plugin issue. So, try disabling plugin one by one to find the conflicting plugin as well.
