March 14, 2013 at 8:49 pm #5179markw MemberI am not able to display the header image in my suite. No matter what image I use it only presents as white space. My site is restricted within an intranet therefore cannot share. p.s. Ironically it does display the header text March 14, 2013 at 11:16 pm #5191Sakin Keymaster@markw: Catch Everest theme used “Header” for the Header image. Just go to “Appearance => Header” and then upload the image you want and then publish it without cropping. See this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-header-image/ March 15, 2013 at 3:09 pm #5215markw MemberHi Sakin, yes – this is what I have done but none of my images display. March 15, 2013 at 8:36 pm #5223Sakin Keymaster@markw: maybe there is issue with your intranet. I don’t know how to solve it without looking at that you have done wrong. So, let me know once your site in live. March 19, 2013 at 3:31 am #5397ohad MemberThe issue seems to be with IE code. On google chrome the image is displayed and on IE it doesn’t. Since many users still using IE, it will be useful to fix this. You can go to my temp site infrasonicmonitoring.com/ and see the white space issue and the the header image issue. March 20, 2013 at 12:12 am #5423Sakin Keymaster@ohad: I just check in with IE and it is showing fine. Can you tell me which version of IE you are using and also if possible share with me the screenshot. Just post your IE screenshot URL. March 20, 2013 at 1:15 am #5448ohad MemberMarch 20, 2013 at 2:02 am #5454ohad MemberYou are right. It works in IE 9 but Does not work in IE 8.06 or IE 8.07 March 20, 2013 at 3:06 am #5461markw MemberI have also checked this and it appears to be an IE8 issue. I actually changed to compatibility mode and the image displayed (proving I had uploaded it correctly) but then the menu was displaying incorrectly. Any help for IE8 would be great. Thanks, Mark p.s. I am loving the theme March 24, 2013 at 5:51 am #5757daven ParticipantI have exactly the same problem with my own site (set up for my wife’s business) using IE 8.0.6001. The header image appears blank in IE8 but is fine in Firefox, Opera Mobile and IE9. My IE emulator shows no header image in IE8 mode, but the header image is visible when emulating IE6 and 7, so I think this is IE8 specific. For now I’ve changed the theme to Catch Box (I like Catch themes because the CSS is so easy to add to) and customized the CSS to make the menu look like Everest, but would really like to see the simplicity of Everest if possible! Tried some horrible CSS hacks to fix the header position – the header image appears but looks pretty hideous and can’t get the CSS to apply to IE8 only. Hope you can help! David. March 25, 2013 at 10:10 pm #5801nordbyk ParticipantHello there, *Love* your catch theme. I look forward to the premium version and the ability to link the featured image slider to pages as well as posts. I’m experiencing the same problem with ie8 and the image header not displaying. I’ve tried the header in jpg, tif, and png formats and none of them display (only white space). The image displays correctly in chrome and firefox. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Here is the link to my website in development: http://www.kimnordby.com/coloradohorsevet/ March 26, 2013 at 2:35 am #5836markw MemberThis worked for me. #site-logo img {
 height:auto;
 width:auto;
 }March 26, 2013 at 7:28 am #5845ndecesare MemberThanks for the code for the logo. That worked. I’m having additional problems with IE8. The white boxes behind the text on the feature slider are missing. Please see the screenshot: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/18128287/Screen%20shot%202013-03-25%20at%208.55.07%20PM.png Also, the Homepage Feature content boxes are pushed up against the bottom of the slider. Both of these problems are only showing up in IE8. Any help would be appreciated Thanks March 26, 2013 at 9:08 am #5847nordbyk ParticipantThanks markw. The site-logo code worked and the header is displaying properly in all browsers. I appreciate the help! March 26, 2013 at 2:43 pm #5875daven ParticipantMany thanks from me too – the extra CSS worked fine!
