    I’ve noticed then when I unzip the updates, I’m getting different file permissions that my usually defaults (755 for dirs, 644 for files). I’m changing them back and the owner.group to my server’s default.

    Everything seems to work but I just wanted to check with you to see if any of the sub files need special permissions?

    @Tim: No it’s fine there is not special permission needed for any files. generally folder should be 755 and files 644. Also to let you know that, you can upload your zip files directly from “Appearance => Themes => Add New => Uploads”.
