This is my first kick at the can with WordPress, so I’m green…..
I was looking for a theme that looks/works well on desktop browsers, tablets and phones……

I found your Catch Box (public) to be very, very good in this sense……And I can elaborate on this later……For now, Great Job!!

My issue is the Menu on an Android Tablet. (android 3.2)
I’ve tried with the built in browser and I also downloaded the latest version of FireFox…..(same problem)

The problem it self is I have no way of selecting the submenu categories…..
My Menu might have a topic such as SERVICE. If you click on SERVICE and don’t pick a subcategory, it has it’s own page which talks about certain/general services.

If you pick SERVICE and then pick SERVICE A, it takes you to the SERVICE A detail information……

On Desktop and so on, this works properly…..
On the Android 3.2 tablet, it does not…..I’m only able to pick the top level menu and not able to pic the submenu items……

Sorry for the long post, figured I best described in detail…..
My website is in test mode currently at: http://www.atlantic-cad.com:8088

    Thanks,

I think the issue is the “MOUSE OVER” feature basically doesn’t work on tablets/phone on Android (at least the 3.12 version that I have).

Not sure why it works on iPad??

@MichelB: Well I don’t have Android device to test it. So, can you send me the screenshot and the device resolution.

I also have found issue with your slider, it’s over the menu. So, add the following css in “Apearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
    #branding { z-index: 10; }

Further, I see that you haven’t added Featured Image in your posts.

Thanks Sakin, I got the slider moved down, no issues and got the Feature Image (sample/test) working as well…..

Here’s a link to a Video that shows/explains the issue with the Android Tablets….
    http://www.screencast.com/t/fmAb3qtnH

I believe it’s in relationship to the menu being a “hover” vs “click”.
There’s no way to “hover” on a Tablet…..So the menu does not roll out, so I can’t pick the sub-menu……

It’s as if we would need a “menu stick” option/control……

As for the screen resolution of the Tablet…..The device reports 1280×800
I’ve tried both Horizontal and Vertical method and get the same result…..

However, the page does work well and resize to the tablet resolution…..
And the menu works properly on a phone, it shows up as Radio Selection…..

Thanks for your help, greatly appreciated….

Hi Sakin, just got back from vacation and double checking on the Android menu issue….

I’ve now tried the menu on 3 different Android devices and get the same result.

Because the menu is not a “sticky” menu, it doesn’t allow us enough time to go and click on the sub-menu item that we want to pick. So the user is only able pick the “top” menu category.

If this Catch Box theme is not able to provide the “working” method for menu that we are looking for, is there a different theme that you have that would have the proper menu working function??

    Thanks!

@MichelB: It’s bit confusing why it’s not working in Android devices. Will check it and let you know if I get any answer on this.
