My site using Clean Business Pro (with a child theme) has been working ok since you helped me with the changes I needed to the masthead colours and position. However an error is occurring on the front page in which the IMAGES FOR THE FEATURED CONTENT AND THE HEADER IMAGE DO NOT SHOW. All other pages work fine. This error has occurred about 3 times over a two week period. If I go in the backend and open up the Customizer everything works fine again, but the error randomly appears again. Are you able to offer any advice? I will send you a screenshot by email. Thanks.
February 5, 2017 at 2:44 pm #108864CraigParticipantHi again Mahesh – here’s the link to a screengrab of the problem:
http://gmgc.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/2017-02-05_19-39-50.jpgJust as I said, all I had to do to make the problem go away was literally open up the customizer, I didn’t even have to change anything or click publish or anything.

Have you migrated your site recently? These kinds of problem occur due to migration issues. Can you post in your site url so I can check it further?

PratikFebruary 6, 2017 at 12:44 pm #108915CraigParticipantSorry Pratik – the site is http://www.gmgc.com.au I have the very latest version of WP and recently Clean Business 2.1 (I have gone from 1.2, to 2.0 to 2.1 since I purchased the theme last November.
February 6, 2017 at 1:22 pm #108916PratikParticipantHi @Craig,
I checked your site and the images are loading fine. Check: http://nimb.ws/Y3z0UF screenshot.
Maybe due to cache issues, the site is not loading properly in your front end?
February 6, 2017 at 1:52 pm #108918CraigParticipantI know it is loading fine at present, because as I said above, when the problem occurs all I have to do is open the customizer and the problem instantly goes away, without me doing anything or saving anything. This is what I did last night when I sent through the screenshot http://gmgc.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/2017-02-05_19-39-50.jpg This has happened on and off over the last few weeks and appears to be completely unpredictable. It is not cache related – I would have picked that up. Note that it is only with the images for the featured content and the header image.
February 6, 2017 at 2:15 pm #108921PratikParticipantHi @Craig,
I apologize but I would need to see the site when it breaks to find out what exactly is wrong. It is difficult to debug something that is not there.

PratikFebruary 10, 2017 at 9:50 am #109306CraigParticipantHi Pratik – OK it is doing it again right now! To my knowledge this is the first time it has happened since my last post to you. My client keeps letting me know when it happens – very embarrassing 🙁 I have avoided going in to wordpress and opening the customizer because I know from each previous time it has occurred that this will likely fix it. Can you please help? http://www.gmgc.com.au
February 10, 2017 at 11:11 am #109314PratikParticipantHi @Craig,
Its your site conflicting between http and https. Try https://gmgc.com.au/, its working, and try http://gmgc.com.au/, it wont work.
You need to force https. Please contact your server for this issue.

PratikFebruary 10, 2017 at 11:29 am #109315CraigParticipanthttps:// does NOT work. I don’t have secure sockets set up for this site. If I click on https://gmgc.com.au I just get an error.
February 10, 2017 at 11:45 am #109316PratikParticipantHi @Craig,
Please contact your server for secure https. This issue is SSL issue. I wont be able to help your further via this forum as it falls beyond theme support scope.
For now, try adding exception from your browser, its loading fine.
Images are being served from https:// links, that is why you are facing this kind of issue.

PratikFebruary 10, 2017 at 1:30 pm #109320CraigParticipantHi Pratik
Unfortunately I do not believe the issue is with my server. Because as soon as I opened the Customizer everything worked fine again. And you can now see that the images and links are now coming from http:// … BUT I HAVEN’T DONE ANYTHING DIFFERENT! AS IT ONLY AFFECTS the front page header image and featured content, is it possible that your code for these is doing something that sometimes changes the links to https:// ? If not, can you tell me why simply opening the Customizer would make everything work perfectly again?? http://www.gmgc.com.au
February 10, 2017 at 1:48 pm #109322PratikParticipantHi @Craig,
I have given you the resolution. Your images are being served from https//, you can check your page source when the issue occurs.
What happens is your site is in http and the images are loaded from https.
If you solve the SSL issue this will go away.
I have pinpointed your issue. Nothing much can be done from our site to rectify the issue.

PratikFebruary 10, 2017 at 8:06 pm #109347CraigParticipantI feel I need to ask you this one last time as I have now spent many hours trying to find any glitches with my server. I can see from the page source that when the error occurs it is trying to source https:// but this is only the featured content images and only the header image. It doesn’t do it for any other image or link on the site. And, as I keep saying, as soon as I open the Customizer the problem goes away and the images start loading again from source http://. This works for several days – and then suddenly returns they start loading from https:// until I open The customizer. Please see my screen shots: http://www.gmgc.com.au/screenshots/with-the-https-error.jpg AND http://www.gmgc.com.au/screenshots/with-http-after-opening-the-customizer.jpg
Thank you one last time. You guys have been terrific helping me with this theme and I really don’t want to have to purchase a SSL certificate and setup a https site just to make this work.
Craig
February 11, 2017 at 6:50 am #109388PratikParticipantHi @Craig,
I would highly recommend the client to support ssl.
However, maybe this can work. Login to WordPress. Make sure you are on http and not https. Goto customizer, again making sure you are on http. Remove the images and reselect them. If this does not work try re uploading them.
This might work but I am not 100% certain that it will.
I should note that this will give warnings if user is on https.
Let me know how it goes.
