Now add content to that page and it will show up in #Section2.

1. Little bit of the image will get cropped off in order to fit to the screen size perfectly. I don’t think you can do much for that.

2. You don’t seem to have enabled Featured Content on your site. Are you talking about the latest news section?

@elliottrae: Let me explain you this.
After activating Essential Content Types Pro plugin.

Go to => Dashboard => Featured Content => Here you can add number of Feature Content post you want.
When you edit a featured content post, at the right hand side of the text editor you will see Content Types and Content Tags Option. You can create a new Content Type or Content Tag to categorize the post you want to show up in your site.

Now, Go to => Appearance => Widgets => Before Content => ECT: Featured Content Type => You will see number of options, on Include Type or Include Tag option type in the type or tag you have categorized your post into so that only those posts show up on your site.

The option to remove Recent Post/Content from homepage is only available in pro version of the theme. I suggest you to upgrade to Catch Fullscreen Pro. You can check out the additional-features available in pro version of the theme.

@gestaltakademin: You can use CT: Featured Posts widget for this purpose.
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Widgets => Select a Widget Area => Add a Widget => CT: Featured Posts => You can choose from the options available => Click Done and Publish
