If you add posts with same image size and similar text(title size) content I don’t think there will be a post order issue. To avoid gaps when the post content size is not uniform masonry is being used in the theme.

If you still want the masonry I can help you setup a child theme and resolve the issue. Let me know if you are familiar with child themes so that I can guide you.

The update has been released. Please update the theme to the latest version.

Then,

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Homepage / Frontpage Options => Toggle off Masonry on Homepage Posts and Publish.

This should make the posts untiled.
