mrichwnccParticipant
I went back to 4.5.5 until this is cleared up.
mrichwnccParticipantHad similar issue. Tried adding CSS above, to menu still not loading. Went back to version 4.5.5 until you can clean this up.
mrichwnccParticipantThe same thing happened to me. I run 2 sites with CatchBox Pro—I discovered that the Wordfence plugin was messing one up, and once deactivated, it is working fine.
The other, I am still working on. (leadwncc.org)
mrichwnccParticipantYes, customizer is not working with 2015 or 2016 theme. on 3 of 4 of my sites. I can’t figure out why it loaded on one which is almost identical to another.
I tried deactivating all plugins, and customizer still does not load either with Catchbox or 2015/2016.
I run a couple of other sites that do not use Catchbox, and there were no issues with this upgrade to WordPress 4.5.
mrichwnccParticipantI deactivated all plugins on this site, and tried to get customize to load, no luck.
Again, there appears to be some conflict between theme and WP 4.5.
mrichwnccParticipantSent you information by email 3 days ago. Continued my issues on https://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/problems-since-update-customize-wont-load/
The update worked fine on the site where the “Customize” menu was working.
It appears an issue deeper than my own situation.
mrichwnccParticipantI was able to get my header image squared away on my site (mission.wnccumc.org) using this information. That was helpful.
I was the first to mention these problems in the forum and I have still been unable to get the customize menu to load on 3 of 4 sites using Catchbox.
I updated to 4.4.2 on two of the 4 sites…and Customize is working on just 1 of those sites (the same one that initially loaded). The two sites are almost identical with plugins, and I tried to troubleshoot by deactivating plugins on the non working one (mission.wnccumc.org)–still could not get customizer to load.
I am waiting to update to 4.4.2 on the two other sites until you work on the fix.
Definitely some issues in the update and WP 4.5
mrichwnccParticipantThanks, that helped me.
mrichwnccParticipantI have a similar issue. The WordPress 4.5 update and the Catchbox Free have an incompatibility.
This happened a few updates ago, and it was around the same time as a WP update.
They sent out a new theme update in a matter of days that cleared it up. Hope the same thing happens.
mrichwnccParticipantIt appears that the problem might be the newest WP-Fastest Cache Update along with the newest WordPress Update. It was not playing well with Catch-Box. When I disabled it, performance issues went away.
mrichwnccParticipantThere is still something wrong with that update that would screw up something that has worked flawlessly for over a year.
The Site Title should not show (if it is not checked to show) with the logo. Everything works great in Administrator mode, but when you log out, the issue occurs. The performance issues only show up when logged out–not when you are logged in. The same issue of site title was evident in another of the the four sites that I updated yesterday as a test (though performance issues were limited–it is a smaller database). Again, the problems only show up when not logged in as administrator.
NOTE- If you go to the site (wnccumc.org)…site title is not showing because I took it out under the headings menu. (leadwncc.org) is one of the sites I did not update, and it is working as expected,
I have been very happy with this theme and I am using it with 4 different sites (two were updated yesterday with similar issues–two I did not update and are working 100%).
I am sure it is something minor that is causing that one issue. But I do hope that you will take another look.
The only change in my CSS was to change an image border from 1px to 0px (I have tried to do this in Themes-Appearance as you suggested but cannot make it work-)–I have changed that one item every time you update with no incident or performance issues.
mrichwnccParticipantI was able to obtain the old version of the theme from your website (3.5.3)
Please send me directions on how to restore the old catch-box theme files without destroying any of my .css changes. I have a copy of the styles.css file that seems to be the only different file based on a back up I have of the whole catch-box directory in “themes”
mrichwnccParticipantI am sorry. It appears that my cache program was holding on to some problem pages.
I cleared them, and everything is working correctly as expected. Thanks.
Thanks for your care in future updates.
mrichwnccParticipantTried the 3.4.2 update that was made available this afternoon on one of my 4 sites using Catch Box.
It appears that issues were ironed out for 3.4, as long as you are logged in as a user. When I tried it as the public sees it, I discovered these things:
1) Content Layout seems to be corrected from 3.4, columns and content align correctly.
2) Full Width Disabled Sidebar pages are showing up as a single thin page aligned to the left without a sidebar. (Just as reported before)–they were working correctly from the dashboard.
3) It appears that the RSS Feed widget may be broken with this update.I am returning to 3.3 until I can be assured that the update is working across the board. I have 4 sites that need to work together–this current update is not going to work.
mrichwnccParticipantMy themes/plugins do not auto update.
It is possible that you have set up another plug in to auto update (there are a number of all purpose back up and maintenance plugins that do it).
I doubt that you have been hacked. I think you are experiencing what all of us who updated to 3.4 have.
if you can get a hold of a clean CSS from yesterday, you can solve your problems.
I would share my CSS, but it would not be helpful since it has been tweaked heavily for my sites.
mrichwnccParticipantBecause I am using 4 Catch Box themed websites and had not updated all of them, I replaced my .css file with the one that was not broken, and now my sites are all working as they were prior to the update (they are also asking me to update to v 3.4).
I would appreciate you looking into the two issues that I discovered:
1) Full Width Disabled Sidebar pages were showing up as a single thin page aligned to the left without a sidebar.
2) Even though the box was checked in theme options to have the content on right-sidebar on left as default–the pages were displaying content on left and sidebar on right. Thanks for your assistance. If there were security issues involved with that updated theme, I would appreciate being informed of that information as well.

mrichwnccParticipantI am experiencing the same thing as of this morning’s update of CatchBox.
The other issue is that my pages that had content aligned to the right (sidebar-left), are now showing up on the left (side-bar right).
This is critical because I have four websites that work in tandem.
