    How do i make my home page to have just the feature content, slider and bottom navigation bar just like they show in the demo site? (http://catchthemes.com/demo/adventurous/)

    Thank you,

    Hi Tom,

    1. For navigation, we user Custom Menu: http://catchthemes.com/blog/videos-blog/video-series-creating-wordpress-custom-menus/
    2. For Slider, use Featured Post Slider: http://catchthemes.com/blog/videos-blog/video-series-adding-featured-post-slider/
    3. For Promotion Headlines below slider: Go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Promotion Headline Options” and add as per your need.
    4. Featured Content: Go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Content” and add as per your need
    5. Then to remove the latest post from the homepage. Go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage/Frontpage Settings” and then check “Disable Latest Posts” and save changes.

    For more see the theme instructions page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/adventurous/

    Thank you, Sakin!

    Two more questions:

    1. How do I change the “Home” button to all caps? I understand that I might need to use the Editor, so I just want to know which file I need to change.

    2. If I want to change the distance between feature content images on the homepage, where should I look?

    I figured out the Home button. But then I run into another problem. On the demo site, I see a bottom menu panel, but the Menu page says, the theme support only 2 top menu panels.

    Is it because this is a free theme?

    @ducduc8888: For Header Right Menu, we advice only to use Menu to 2 level only. This means you can as sub-menu items in your menu. But if you add in third child menu. You might have issues. You will only have issues in third child menu only in the right corner so that it doesn’t overflow. This is just precursory only.

    The next question about, changing the distance between feature content images on the homepage. I don’t get it what you mean. Can you post your site URL and explain.

    Thanks!

    I’m working on my local server so I don’t have an URL for you yet. I’m referring to the 4 feature images on the front page of the theme. I want to make them closer.

    @ducduc8888: Yes, I understand that you want it closer but to which element. So, can you upload your screenshot in any photo-sharing site and send me the URL of your screenshot so that I understand to which element that you want to make it closer.

    Sorry for being unclear! I want to make them closer to each other. Here is the screenshot: http://imgur.com/wO4Ylw5. I want to make the space between these 3 images to be half of what they are now.

    @ducduc8888: Oh yes, we have lot of spaces in between while choose 3 column layout. We will fixed this in next version update. Till then you can try adding in the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.

    @media screen and (min-width: 981px) {
        #featured-post.layout-three .featued-content-wrap {
            margin-left: -2.3%;
        }
        #featured-post.layout-three .post {
            margin-left: 2.3%;
            width: 31%;
        }
    }

    Hello….just started out with my site, would really appreciate advice of how to:

    Change the slider pic from the tigers to pics of my choice….?

    Upload images in gallery and manage a gallery

    Is it possible to have a larger company logo instead of words and thumbnail sized one top left?

    Get rid of posts / leave a reply comment box on home page

    Change my menu top right to what I appear to have moved over from menu list to the right in menus…

    Does someone mind helping and letting me know how to do this?

    Thanks!

    Hello Phil,

    1. For Post Slider, you can check out this tutorial http://catchthemes.com/blog/videos-blog/video-series-adding-featured-post-slider/

    2. You can create new post or page and then upload the image in that post/page and add gallery shortcode in your post/page. For more support for gallery, you can install Jetpack plugin and activate jetpack gallery module like “Tiled Galleries” and “carousel”

    3. You can upload logo from “Appearance => Theme Options => Header Options”. For this, we recommend logo of maximum height 41px. As this will be fixed header when you scroll down. But if you want to add large Header Image, then you can upload it from “Appearance => Theme Options => Header Featured Image Options”. For this we recommend the image size of 1600px width and 400px height.

    4. To disable latest post from homepage. Go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage / Frontpage Settings”, check in “Disable Latest Posts” and save change.

    5. For menu, you can create custom menu from “Appearance => Menus” and then show these menu in different location from “Appearance => Menus => Manage Locations”. For more see this at http://catchthemes.com/blog/custom-menus-wordpress-themes/

    For more options, you can upgrade to Pro version. See the list of additional features at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/adventurous-pro/

    Have a nice day.

    Sakin

If no how the pictures can open in another window?

    Hi to open to image in new window. There is no option. But you can use HTML code to make it open in new window. See this HTML hyperlink tutorial http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

    So, now what you do is. Just edit that page and then click on “Visual Mode” and add target="_blank" in your hyperlink.

    For example, your fist image code is
    <a href="http://rice.voyage/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/1.jpg"><img width="1350" height="844" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-380" alt="1" src="http://rice.voyage/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/1.jpg"></a>
    Replace this with the following
    <a href="http://rice.voyage/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/1.jpg" target="_blank"><img width="1350" height="844" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-380" alt="1" src="http://rice.voyage/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/1.jpg"></a>
