Keymaster@MikeHornbeck: I see that you are using Catch Everest Free theme which only have Featured Post Slider. So, first create the post with the featured image then note down the post id and add those id in “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”.
Read the detail Theme Instruction at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest

MemberSo it is necessary to make a 1140x450px version of every picture that it will be displayed properly? Now I did it, but it makes a lot of work. I cannot put in a picture in it´s normal 3×2 dimensions? Does the pro Theme support this feature?

I eventually will delete the featured posts below and just have the 3 posts repair paint clean in the slider.

MemberI figured out the comments by going to discussion un checking allow comments, then for all my old posts/pages I had to go into the post/page editor, top right screen options, click discussion and then turn them off there.
Slider is still not working with my featured images on my posts

Keymaster@himmelstuermer: Yes, you can just add 1140px width images for all the posts that you want to show in Featured Post Slider.

MemberHi,
Featured post will keep changing to the latest post I add. I have 4 different languages loaded so how do I get featured posts which are for the language specific blog?

MemberHi,
I have different languages on my blog but the featured slider will not save as different posts for the different language and just keeps changing to the latest post ID that I add no matter what language section I am on.
Can I fix this issue?

Keymaster@Enrico: Looks like there is conflict with your plugin. Please check in you need to update any plugin. If it doesn’t get fixed after you update all the plugins, then try disabling plugins. Try with slider and image plugins like Next Gen and all.
Let me know it, if you need further help on this.

MemberUpdate: I was finally able to upload 4 images (selecting “images” instead of “post” in theme option / featured slider now that I have the Pro edition); I set for 4 images and uploaded but the problem is that the images do not change at all, im stuck with just one.

Keymaster@real_makkoy: Sorry I don’t know how you have added Featured Post in your Site. So, send me your site URL and also let me know how much left and then which text to center it.

ParticipantThat worked perfect! I havefeatured posts at the bottom of the home page. Is there a way to re-align them so they are more to the left with the text centered under them?

Keymaster@real_makkoy: I am giving you the answer based on Catch Everest Pro theme.
To remove the background that the featured slider text is on, you can add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#main-slider .entry-title span, #main-slider .entry-content { background: none transparent; }October 19, 2013 at 11:57 pm #16100real_makkoy
ParticipantI am also using catch everest pro. I just need to remove the grey text background under the text that sits on top of the featured slider image

ParticipantHello is there a way to remove the background that the featured slider text is on?

Sakin
Keymaster@pdxjohn13: Sorry there is not option to do that. You need to build child theme and then customize the theme.
But for a trick, I told you that you can just add single post in your Featured Post Slider. When you only have single post in the slider it won’t slide.

Keymaster@pdxjohn13: You can disable the slider from “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider => Slider Options”.

Keymaster@grayscottage: Do you mean that you just want image as the slider and that doesn’t link to the post? If that is the case then you need to upgrade to Pro version and use Image Slider. Free version only have Featured Post Slider.
Another is that do you want to make your homepage with the posts. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage Settings => Homepage/Frontpage Settings”, then check on “Enable Latest Posts”.
