In reply to: Featured Post Slider dissappeared
365ticketsMemberHi,
Featured post will keep changing to the latest post I add. I have 4 different languages loaded so how do I get featured posts which are for the language specific blog?

365ticketsMemberHi,
I have different languages on my blog but the featured slider will not save as different posts for the different language and just keeps changing to the latest post ID that I add no matter what language section I am on.
Can I fix this issue?

SakinKeymaster@Enrico: Looks like there is conflict with your plugin. Please check in you need to update any plugin. If it doesn’t get fixed after you update all the plugins, then try disabling plugins. Try with slider and image plugins like Next Gen and all.
Let me know it, if you need further help on this.

EnricoMemberUpdate: I was finally able to upload 4 images (selecting “images” instead of “post” in theme option / featured slider now that I have the Pro edition); I set for 4 images and uploaded but the problem is that the images do not change at all, im stuck with just one.

October 20, 2013 at 2:32 am #16111real_makkoyParticipantThat worked perfect! I havefeatured posts at the bottom of the home page. Is there a way to re-align them so they are more to the left with the text centered under them?
October 20, 2013 at 1:06 am #16105SakinKeymaster@real_makkoy: I am giving you the answer based on Catch Everest Pro theme.
To remove the background that the featured slider text is on, you can add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#main-slider .entry-title span, #main-slider .entry-content { background: none transparent; }
October 19, 2013 at 11:57 pm #16100real_makkoyParticipantI am also using catch everest pro. I just need to remove the grey text background under the text that sits on top of the featured slider image

October 18, 2013 at 11:57 pm #16074In reply to: Static Picture on Front Page – No Slider
SakinKeymaster@pdxjohn13: Sorry there is not option to do that. You need to build child theme and then customize the theme.
But for a trick, I told you that you can just add single post in your Featured Post Slider. When you only have single post in the slider it won’t slide.
October 16, 2013 at 11:01 am #16004In reply to: Static Picture on Front Page – No Slider
SakinKeymaster@pdxjohn13: You can disable the slider from “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider => Slider Options”.

SakinKeymaster@grayscottage: Do you mean that you just want image as the slider and that doesn’t link to the post? If that is the case then you need to upgrade to Pro version and use Image Slider. Free version only have Featured Post Slider.
Another is that do you want to make your homepage with the posts. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage Settings => Homepage/Frontpage Settings”, then check on “Enable Latest Posts”.

SakinKeymaster@Ceci: Are you using Free version or pro version. Send me you site URL so that I can check in.
In you are using Free version then you have option to add Featured Post Slider, for this you need to create post and add featured image in your post. Then remember that post ID and add in “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. When you add the post ID. Just add id. CeciMemberI too would like to change the image in the image slider but am having a hard timer figuring out how to do it. Do I have to create a post, add a feature image, then go to slider options and put the ID of the post there? If so, I did this and still did not work… Help please

SakinKeymaster@Jeffer: You should have posted your site URL. Are you talking about the sliding image. Are you using Free Catch Everest Theme or Premium Catch Everest Pro Theme.
If you are using Free Catch Everest Theme then the image can be changed or disabled from “Appearance => Featured Post Slider” in your WordPress Dashboard. Free version only have Featured Post Slider and for this you need to first create post with Featured Image and then get the ID of the post and then add that post ID. See the detail instruction at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest/
But if you are using Catch Everest Pro then you can simple use Featured Image Slider where you can upload your own image and add text and link as per you need. See the detail instruction at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/

SakinKeymaster@a.jagroe: What’s your site URL? It doesn’t take the image inside the post. But it takes the image from the Featured Image in that post. So, you need to assign Featured Image in those posts. See how to add featured image http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
