ParticipantI must missing something, but I can’t seem to get the featured slider images to enable. They show up next to blog posts on the home page but the slider doesn’t activate. I have it selected as a 4 column slider in the customizer. Any ideas?

Keymaster@chd3143: Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Featured Slider select Homepage/Frontpage in Enable Slider on option. Then select Demo Featured Slider in Select Slider Type. Click Save & Publish, then check it on the home page if the slider works.

On your demo site, for example, it’s the slider that has pictures of the cat and the northern lights. I might be calling it the wrong thing, but that should help you understand what I’m looking at. Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Featured Content=> Featured Content Options select Homepage/Frontpage in Enable Featured Content on option. Then select Demo Featured Content in Select Slider Type. And please make sure to check Check to Enable Slider option. Click Save & Publish, then check it on the home page if the it works.

I saw the “demo” option, but it only seems to display demo images — nothing from my posts. In other words, when I posted some test posts, I selected a feature image. That feature image shows up next to the posts but not on the Featured Content. The Featured Content is still showing the demo images without linking to anything I’m posting. Do I need to be using a specific category in the post? Then, how do I get rid of the sample images? Sorry, I know there’s something small I’m missing!
June 23, 2016 at 10:26 am #94104Keymaster@chd3143: Okay, if its displaying demo image, seems Featured Content is working fine. Following above steps will display demo featured content. For Displaying posts in Featured Content, go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Featured Content=> Featured Content Options and select Featured Post Content in Select Content Type. Then scroll down a bit and put your desired post ID in Featured Post #.
