    Hi,

    I can’t seem to get the featured slider into full width like the tiger image from the demo, I keep having grey areas around it. What do I need to do to get the full width like the tiger images?

    Thanks in advance!!

    @Els: Please share your site URL so that I can check in. But as per your question, it looks like you have added in smaller size image. You need to upload image of width 1600px. Check out theme instructions page for more details about the suggested sizes http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/adventurous-pro

    Hi Sakin – I am posting here because it is related to slider – hope ok. I need to see where my actual url for slider appears in code. Should it appear in home.php, or index.php etc?

    My url is actually a <script> in one case and an <iframe) in another and I also have an associated file for another two. In order for my url to work with the slider I need to upload these associated files somewhere….not sure if this should be in adventurous pro folder (presumably these associated files need to be in same location / folder as home page).

    Or maybe I need to make a child theme to override original? (last resort!)

    thanks

    @Sakin: myfeetaremeanttoroam.com
    I resized the images to 1600×600 as per theme requirements, the image is wider, but still not like the tiger images of the example

    @Els: I check in the image in your slider, it still 1024px width images. Where did you added that new 1600px images.

    I resized the image via Photoshop, but this doesn’t seem the way to do it.
    Could you tell me how I can change the width for a featured image? If I go into select featured image, edit image, it won’t let me choose 1600×600, I have to scale it to 1024px width. I’m not familiar with coding, so if I have to use that, please let me know exactly where I have to change it 🙂 Thanks in advance!

    @Els: You just need to upload the larger image and set it as featured image http://catchthemes.com/blog/videos-blog/video-series-adding-featured-image-wordpress-postpage/ . If you upload the larger image then it will automatically crop it. But if you upload smaller then it will load original image. In your case you have upload smaller image so it’s loading the image that you have uploaded. After you add new featured image, you need to change any value in theme options panel to clear the cache, otherwise it will take 24 hours to clear the cache automatically.

    I’m afraid it still doesn’t work. I uploaded the exact image size: 1600×600 and when I go back into the media library it says 1024×384!

    @Els: It’s working for me here. It’s strange why it’s not working on your site. Ok I will email you to get detail note.

    @Els: Thanks for the access and I was able to find out the issue. I found that you have activated “Imsanity” plugin and in this plugin setting the max width of the image was set to 1024px that is why it was resizing all your big images to 1024 instead of 1600.
