I upgraded to Pro. My menu at the top was fine but as soon as I added side widgets it totally disappeared. I’ve read the forums – made sure that each page was “public” I added a custom menu nothing seems to work. Thanks for your help!

So, you need to add “Custom Menu” widgets to your Header Right Sidebar. This Custom Menu widget gives you option to add any custom menu that you have created in “Appearance => Menus”
July 3, 2014 at 7:25 pm #37854DonaParticipantHi,
Thanks so much for your reply. Unfortunately, I had already tried that = and it didn’t work.
What happened to the standard menu that used to be there? It totally = disappeared suddenly when I added left (image) side widgets… having = NOTHING to do with the menu at all!!So now, I have no menu at all.
So I tried it in the way you suggested… I did this:
1. Made a custom menu – named it Home Page Top Menu and saved it.
2. I added a Header Right Sidebar widget – and put in custom menu. = From the dropdown I chose Home Page Top Menu. Nothing is displayed.
3. I made sure that my header color options were not set to white just = in case they were there but I couldn’t see them.
4. I tried using the custom menu with both the “Theme locations – = primary menu” box checked and unchecked. It doesn’t show up with = either.
So really not sure what to do from here. =20
The standard menu that it used to have is fine with me.
Thanks for getting back to me. I need to go live with this site next = week.
Thanks again.

I am not what you have done in admin section. So, I will email you personally and you can send me details there.
Regards,
SakinJuly 3, 2014 at 9:46 pm #37872DonaParticipantOk. Thanks Sakin. I will wait for your email.
July 3, 2014 at 9:55 pm #37873SakinKeymaster@Dona: I have already emailed you in email address that you have registered with.
July 3, 2014 at 10:08 pm #37876SakinKeymaster@Dona: I found that you have checked “Disable Header Right Sidebar?” in “Appearance => Theme Options => Header Options”.
July 8, 2014 at 12:47 am #38263DonaParticipantThank you Sakin! You totally rock. I really appreciate your help.
Now I would like to shrink the amount of white space that I have in four =
places:1. The VERY top of the page before the menu
2. Between the menu and the header image
3. Between the featured content and the rest of the content on the page
4. Between the widgets on the left side.
Please let me know how to do those things.
Thank you so much for everything. (I found some similar requests – but I don’t see them specifically for Kathmandu – so I don’t want to mess up the CSS)
July 8, 2014 at 1:13 am #38271SakinKeymaster@Dona: Please don’t post the same question is two places, it’s going to confused me. So, I am deleting your new thread. You can change the padding and margin as per your need and add it in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
.header-sidebar { padding-top: 40px; } #hgroup-wrap { padding-bottom: 40px; } #main #featured-post { margin-bottom: 40px; } #secondary .widget { margin-bottom: 40px; }
July 10, 2014 at 6:19 am #38517DonaParticipantThanks Sakin! You are always so helpful! This worked really well for everything but the side widgets. I have it set to 0 and it is still too much white space in between. Will you please show me how to make that white space even smaller? THANKS!
July 10, 2014 at 7:09 am #38521DonaParticipantAlso – there seems to be more white space on the left side of the website then the right side. Looks very off balance. Is there a way to fix that please?
July 10, 2014 at 10:15 pm #38566SakinKeymaster@Dona: Can you send me your site URL? Then I will check in and suggest you the css.
