Previously I was able to change the header image for particular pages using css, but this no longer seems to work on my website. We have a special event, with 4 pages (this year using only two of the pages since we will have a virtual event.) I would like to have a different header for those pages.
1. I’ve had no success in CatchAdaptive Free, and am wondering if changing the header for an individual page is easy to do in CatchAdaptive PRO?
2. If I upgrade to Catch Adaptive PRO will there be a smooth transition from the free version or will I have lots of rewriting to do?
Thank you – I’ll hope for a prompt reply so I can get this problem fixed right away!
@fol: Hello there,
To have different header image on different pages Go to => Appearance => Customize => Header Media => Enable On => Select Entire Site, Page,Post Featured Image and Publish .
The Featured Image you have set for each post/page will show up as the Header Image of that page.
The transition from free to pro should be very smooth. Let me know if you come across any issues.
Let me know if this helps you out!
Kind Regards,
Skandha
Thank you so much Skandha for this information! It’s taken me awhile to get this working on each of the pages in my site, but things are looking good! Using the Featured Image to be the header image is something I never would have figured out on my own. Again, thank you so much!

@fol: Hello there, I hope I was able to resolve your issue. If it’s not too much trouble, I have a quick request: could you please leave an honest review? https://wordpress.org/support/theme/catch-adaptive/reviews/#new-post
Your review will help others know what to expect when they’re looking for the support I offer. Even a sentence or two would be hugely
appreciated. Thanks, and if there’s anything else at all that I can do to help, don’t hesitate to let me know. Have a good day! 🙂
Skandha – I’ll be happy to post a review! First one more question – I have 2 people who when testing for me that their header (one of two I’m using thanks to your help!) that the lower part of the header is cut off.
I’ve tried to look through the instructions to find the desired size of the header graphic – can’t seem to locate it.
I’ve read some places that going to the browser and clearing the cache will solve this problem. So far I haven’t gotten my 2 people with the problem to do this.
@fol: Hello Linda,
Can you please attach a screenshot of the issue at your end?
The recommended header image size is 1680*720px or image size with similar aspect ratio.
Let me know if this helps you out!
Kind Regards,
Skandha
Here is a photo emailed to me by one of the two people who has this problem: The imagine size is 2461 1055, which gives aspect ratio of 2.33, very close to theme specified aspect ratio.
Here is what one of those having the cut off Bottom line of Header sent to me today:
“It happens in both Chrome and Edge. But, if I click to make the browser window smaller, it displays correctly, but as soon as I maximize it, it gets cut off again. I think it may have to do with the display settings. My monitor is widescreen, and it is set to 1920×1080.
—I’ve tried several times to write a glowing review for your help, but keep getting told my Windows log in is wrong and they will send me a way to reset my password… Haven’t given up yet….
