Deleting theme and adding it again will not remove your settings. It just replaces the files and it’s safe. It’s only issue if you have made changes in any files inside theme folder.

as you can see in my Post from 1st Sep I did that already.
While trying to update with the catch updater I get the following error: destination folder already exists and the installation failed.

As I also said: I guess I could just delete the old theme folder and install the new one, but that would destroy my whole design/settings/etc. wouldn’t it?
I just wan’t to update the theme, I don’t wan’t to rebuild the whole website.
Any suggestions on this?

Hi folks,

I’m experiencing the same problem as andrewmaff.
I am not able to update the theme. I tried using the catch updater but I always get an error while trying to update that says:

Das Theme wird installiert…
Der Zielordner existiert bereits. /wp-content/themes/full-frame-pro/
Die Themeinstallation ist fehlgeschlagen.

It basically says, that the destination folder already exists and the installation failed.
