FOUND IT! LOL
soundlocationParticipantI would if I could. Clicking on that link asks me to login, but that doesn’t recognize my username or password.
🙂
The only thing giving me a headache right now is the main menu hover. It goes to this default red. As far as I know I have removed every ounce of code referring to that red and replaced it with a different color, but it’s still going for default. And yes, have emptied cache, and all the usual stuff.
😉
soundlocationParticipantThat worked. And so did the first solution, once I found a punctuation issue in the line before it. ARGH!
Thank you!
soundlocationParticipantHi Skandha,
It doesn’t matter how many times you ask for an URL. It ain’t happening. Not going to post it or email it. Cheers!
soundlocationParticipantNope. Are 1 is still visible everywhere. The others are only visible on the front page.
soundlocationParticipantOooops. Just checked again. Footer area 1 is still showing on other pages. All other footer areas are hidden on other pages.
My bad.
soundlocationParticipantThanks Skandha.
It kind of worked.
I’m using 3 out of the 4 footer areas and each have two widgets inside.
Your code stopped everything but the 1st widget in area nr 1, and the last widget in area nr 3.
*banging head against table*
soundlocationParticipantAgain, NOT posting a link or sending link via email as site is not approved to be seen by anyone yet.
I’m using Rockstar Pro (hence why I’m posting in this forum). The FOOter has space for 4 widgets. Footer area 1 – 4.
I mean, I could attach a screen dump of the admin area, outlining exactly which widgets I’m talking about, but your support system doesn’t allow attachments, unless linked through an URL. That’s a HUGE catch 22.
soundlocationParticipantHow is it going with that?
soundlocationParticipantIt is not an issue. It’s a question of if it is doable. And as per previous communication, the site is a work in progress and NO URL will be posted here or via private message until the entire site is approved by band and management, and released publicly.

Your suggestion pointed me in the right direction. Thank you!!
A slight modification and that was sorted.
.single-post #content .entry-content *, .page #content * { background-color: #000; background: rgba(17, 17, 17, 0.2); }
December 6, 2019 at 11:49 pm in reply to: Transparent background between text and background image??? #228839soundlocationParticipantNope. That changed the color of the font. Not what I wanted.
Think of it as three layers. Top layer, font. It is white or light grey.
Bottom layer, background: it is a photo. It has dark and light sections. The white font will not show up well on laid over the white sections.
So a layer in between the two is needed. A transparent black layerjust under the text. The white font will be readable even over the light sections of the photo. And the photo will be seen under the tranparent layer.
I do NOT want to change the color of the font. Nor do I want to cover the photo with an opaque black layer, as that would completely defeat the purpose of the background.
I hope the above helps.
soundlocationParticipantThe last sentence, before the “cheers and thanks in advance” in my post above says the following:
As before, not posting a link to where the site can be viewed as the band has yet to see it.
In other words: I’m developing this to show the band for their approval. Before they approve it, nobody but me will see the site. If they don’t approve it will be trashed.
You will have to answer my questions without seeing the site.
soundlocationParticipantThat seemed to have worked. Thank you. I just hope it won’t remove the featured image from every post/page. It’s only from 5-6 pages I want this removed.
soundlocationParticipantThe plugin worked. I’m good now.
soundlocationParticipantNo. I mean exactly what I said, background image. You can set background image in customization. I need to set background image for individual pages. Wouldn’t hurt to be able to do it for header as well as, but that isn’t a priority.
I found a plug-in. I’ll test the free version and if that works, I’ll buy the pro version.
soundlocationParticipantSorry. No can do. It’s not publicly available as it’s under development.
soundlocationParticipantFrom the FAQ:
Hero Content
Our Pro theme supports 4 Hero Content types they are: 1. Post, 2. Page, 3. Category and 4. Custom.
Go to Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Hero Content Options
To enable Hero Content, select option Entire Site or Homepage/Frontpage under “Enable on”
Under “Type”, you need to select “Post, Page, Category or Custom” as per your need
If you select Post as Hero content, choose Post under Post 1, Post 2 and so on
If you select Page as Hero content, choose Page under Featured Page 1, Featured Page 2 and so on
If you select Category as Hero content, choose categories under Featured Select Categories
If you select Custom as Hero content, then, under Featured Content #1, Featured Content #2 and so on add “Title”, “Content” and “Image Link”and as per your need
Finally, click on “Save & Publish”The above is WHY i bought Rockstar as it is a feature I must have with everything else it offers.
The way I see it is that we now have two options:
1) recomend a theme that offers that and switch it over
2) refund me the cost of Rockstar Pro as it is currently useless to me and I have stopped developing the site, while I’m on a deadline.
You chose the option, but please communicate via email. You have my account details.
