I checked your site and after moving the Main Content at the top the section below disappeared.
This may be due to one of the plugins you are using. Can you deactivate all your plugin and then move the Main Content at the top and see if the section below disappears.

There isn’t a big difference in using events in page, post and custom type.
Post and page are almost similar as the post/page that you select will show up with the title and content in events section.

Using Custom Type you can do everything in the customizer like specifying the dates and location and the links to each events.
You can use what you are comfortable with.

@landyvlad: Comparing Clean Blocks and Catch Inspire both the themes have almost the same sections in customizer. The design is what is different. I think both the theme are suitable for a Business Website and will need to choose from which design you like better.

The testimonial section is not available in the customizer in Catch Flames but is available in Solid Construction Theme that is why it looks better in Solid Construction Theme.

The Plugin gives you Custom Post Types like Featured Content, Testimonial and so on so that they can be used instead of post or pages.
