Are you referring to the blockquotes in this demo link. As you open the link and scroll down you will see blockquotes which is created using Classic Block and not Quote Block. I don’t any changes has been made to the Quote Block.

If you would like to have Blockquotes like in the demo link.

Add a new block => Classic Block => Click on the Quote button => Add your text and Update the post/page.

You will need to add a heading for the section Best of the week so that the text on the left and right aligns on the same line.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Best of the week => Headline => Add the text and Publish.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Layout Options => Single Page/Post Image => Select Post Thumbnail and Publish.

I checked the Social Footer menu and it seems to be working fine at my end.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Menus => View All Locations => Social Footer => Select you Social Menu and Publish.

Yes, the option to display featured image on single post/pages is only available in the pro version of the theme. I suggest you upgrade to pro. You can check out the additional-features available in the pro version of the theme.
