May 10, 2023 at 12:46 pm in reply to: css code to change featured image size in featured content on home page #318057jamesmillerlifeologyParticipant
Yes, please let me send me the instructions.
Thank you.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantIt turns out my plugin Smush was breaking that feature.
However, on my sister site lifeology.tv, on the menu, if you click Home it takes you to jamesmillerlifeology.com, not lifeolog.tv
any idea how to fix that? if you click on my logo it takes you to lifeology.tv, that works at least.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantI spoke too soon. The slider does not work when you click on a page. It shows the three images (the number of images I chose for the slider, stacked on each other. The middle image is just the name of the file. The first and last image display correctly, but it should slide not be stacked on each other. I will have to disable the slider for the whole site and just keep it for the homepage, as it looks bad on the site.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantactually, I think I resolved it. I disabled both the slider and the featured content, saved it. and then selected them again. I think it fixed the bug.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantImajons. I use Crop Thumbnails as a plugin to adjust all my images for this theme. However, it doesn’t work for the featured content display since that would have to be changed by the developer.
Here is the plugin that works well for my site. https://wordpress.org/plugins/crop-thumbnails/
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantYes, if I were to manually upload a photo with that dimension then it would change it. I was wondering if there is a code you could give me to write in the “additional css” section to resolve this. Currently, the featured content section pulls from the default photo dimension. I have a plugin that crops all of my photos for the theme’s photo display options. I don’t want to upload a new featured photo with the 420*283px dimensions because it would not display the full-featured photo in the post.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantHello, any update with this?
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantThank you.
The box is unchecked. I assume if I check it then it will disable the update notifications.
Any other causes of this?jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantYes, it worked. Thank you.
I receive updates for the free version Fabulous Fluid, but not the Pro. I manually went to your site, downloaded the theme and then uploaded it. Is it supposed to automatically update in my theme section instead of me manually doing it?
Thanks. again for your help.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantAny update on this? I’ve had to deactivate the slider b/c it is posting all the categories instead of just the one I want.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantAny update on this? I now have the options but it does not update when I select one of the categories, but currently displays all of the categories in the slider. I’ve deleted my cache and unplugged all of the plugins to see if one of them is conflicting. If it can’t be fixed I will have to disable the slider… which is a disappointment.
Thanks for your help.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantThe options are now back, but the slider is pulling from all categories instead of the one I have assigned. Even when I clear the cache or customize from an incognito browser it still pulls from all categories. I am attaching a screen shot to show what options I have set but they are not working correctly.
I wasn’t sure how to send you the screenshot so I uploaded to my google drive. You can see the photo here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1n4Rq8TW5cej4R89Ur3ecpTZeQfmlegms
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantok, i figured it out. I updated the latest version of the theme. But I am still having the original problem of not having the options to change the slider. After the update the slider is now using all of my posts. i originally had it set to a certain category. Without the options to change the slider it’s moot to keep it active. Any update as to why I don’t have some of these options in the customization area?
Once again, sorry for all of the posts to you. Thanks for the help.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantSorry for so many messages.
I noticed in the faq that there is supposed to be a catch theme updated in the appearance section of the dashboard. I don’t have that option.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantBTW, I have the Disable Update Notifier unchecked, so I hope it automatically sends me the updates in the future.
But until then, I’m not sure how to update it.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantok, I just bought it again. I downloaded the theme and attempted to upload a “new theme” since I didn’t see any options for update in the current theme of the wordpress dashboard. It didn’t work. Where do I upload the update?
THanks for your help.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantis there a way to manually download the updates since I’m not getting the updates via the dashboard in my wordpress?
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantawesome!! Thank you.
jamesmillerlifeologyParticipantIt still is black. I’m trying to change the title: Current Lifeology | Radio Episodes, not Lifeology | Radio. I’ve cleared my cache several times, and even checked it on a different browser and it still looks the same.
