ParticipantSlider #4: Content type is black (inline styling). How to change Title type to black? (Slider #4 only)?

ParticipantThe same thing happened when the local site was updated to WordPress 5.8, so that was the cause. The solution was to adjust padding on the larger screen sizes.

ParticipantI am familiar with child theme customization; this website has a child theme.

ParticipantOn the home page https://www.rebecca-rosenberg.com/, there are 2 lines of type in each slider image, set in Theme Options/Featured Image Options: the “title” and the “content”. The “title” shows fine across different devices, but the lower line, the “content” (the picture credits) disappears on mobile devices.

ParticipantThat worked. Thanks!

ParticipantSeems fine to me, with or without plugins enabled. I checked on several devices. Can I email you a screenshot?

ParticipantThat turns off the link action completely, but I’m trying to link the featured image to an external URL (not to the permalink). Thank you.

ParticipantThank you for your help. It was the CSS — I hadn’t used “category” as a menu option before and needed to do some styling. Now the category (“Rebecca’s Blog”) shows at the top and the title of the blog post is below that. The image will be either above or below the blog post title depending on whether it’s a featured image. If it’s a featured image it will also show in the sidebar widgets that link to the blog page.

ParticipantUpdate: Never mind — It wasn’t the theme. I used this code to remove the title from a home-page post and all the featured image titles were removed as well: body.home .entry-title { display:none; } Is there a way to remove only one title? Thanks.

ParticipantApparently it’s a problem with WordPress 4.9. http://theusualstuff.com/wordpress-4-9-error-edit-files-resolved/ I finally used Dreamweaver to paste the code into the child theme header.php and FTP’d it. That worked.
