I would like to have widgets on every page of my site.  I’m able to get them on the main page but not of the other pages of my site.  Am I limited to the number pages that can feature widgets?  If not, how do I ad them?  www.junkfoodrehab.net

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

@junkfoodrehab.net: You can add widgets through “Appearance => Widgets”. There are various Widgets area and you can add widgets in different places. For pages, just add widgets in Page Sidebar, For Post, go for post site. If you want same sidebar in all pages, posts and home, then just add widgets in Main Sidebar and remove the widgets in all other sidebars.

    Hi Sakin,

I have Catch Everest but not Catch Everest Pro. Do I need Pro to add widgets to the page sidebar? Under “appearance => Widgets” I only see Main Sidebar and Footer Area 1, 2, and 3. http://www.icservices.com

    Thanks!

@cheri.schneider: Yes, if you upgrade to Catch Everest Pro then you will have additional 8 sidebars, which totals to 12 Sidebars registered that is 1. Main, 2. Header Right, 3. Optional Homepage, 4. Optional Archive, 5. Optional Page, 6. Optional Post, 7. Optional Sidebar One, 8. Optional Sidebar Two, 9. Optional Sidebar Three, 10. Footer Area One, 11. Footer Area Two, and 12. Footer Area Three.

@junkfoodrehab.net: For pages, you have option to select Default Main Sidebar if Page Sidebar is empty, then Page Sidebar will be default. Then you can select rest Optional Sidebar One, Optional Sidebar Two, and Optional Sidebar Three.

Just add widgets in these sidebar from “Appearance => Widgets” and to select which sidebar to show on pages. When you edit to write new page you will see “Catch Everest Options” box, from there you can select Which sidebar you want.

    Dear @Sakin

My main menu doesn’t have sub-menus for design reasons. Instead, I would like to place them on each page separately using “Optional Sidebars” with individual menus.

However, three different sidebars are not enough I’m afraid and so I wanted to ask you if it’s possible to have four or even five sidebars?

    That would be awesome!

    Thanks a lot
    Bettina

PS: I have followed your threads and they helped me a lot getting accustomed with Everest Pro – thanks for that!

@PhaseZwei: Oh sorry we don’t have 4 to 5 sidebars. But you can use plugins to have custom sidebars for each pages and post. Search for plugin at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

I cant take this anymore! I bought Catch Everest Pro, I cant figure out why my widgets dont show up in the optional front page sidebar. @shamwow: Your www and no www if from your WordPress Settings. This has nothing to do with the theme. Please check your settings at “Settings => General”

To activate the Sidebar in Homepage/Frontpage. First you need to activate either Static Front Page or Latest Posts from “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage Settings => Homepage/Frontpage settings”.

The sidebar will not show just with slider and Homagepage Featured Content.
