    Hi,

    I’m enjoying the Catch Everest theme, its clean and attractive.

    Just a question though. Why is the page arranged in a vertical (portrait) format when all PC screens are horizontal (landscape) format? It means viewers have to scroll down to see all the content and there is an unused portion of the browser at the sides (where the background can go).

    Is this to suit mobile phone browsing? Can I change the format?

    Thanks, Wul

    @wul: I don’t get it what you mean. Catch Everest theme is designed to various screen sizes. So, in which size you are talking about. Can you send me the screenshot with explanation.

    Hi Sakin,

    I guess this applies to lots of templates and maybe I’m missing something here. If you look at the screen shot you’ll see thet there is an “unused” (maybe inactive would be a better word) portion down each side of the page (where I have my background). Would it not be more useful to have this area aspart of the actual web site, where people can click etc? Sorry If I’m misunderstanding something basic.

    Sorry , I can’t see a way to attach the screen shot.

    Yeah, I am wondering about the same thing. When using my old mac, the whole screen is covered by the blog, but when using my mother or brothers newer comuters/mac, it is as if the blog has shrinked, and there are a lot of white space on both sides of the blog…I wish there were some way to fix this, so the blog doesn´t look so small on those computers…

    @thess: Theme is responsive design, it adjust as per the screensize. The best options in the view the site and large screen and then scroll down. You will see various size.

    If you want site to be same in all screen sizes then just disable it through Theme Options panel.

    @wul
    : You cad add screenshot is anywhere and just post the link.

    I don`t think you understand. The problem is that the blog does not adjust to the screen-size. When using a computer with a big screen, the blog does not cover the whole screen, on the contrary, it is small and with a lot of white space on either side. Next time I meet my family I can try to take a screenshot so you can see what I am talking about.

    @thess: The site maximum size is 1140px so above that it will show the space. You can see in our demo page. Many theme even don’t support more than 1000px.

    I am also having this same problem.  On my mac laptop, the center column does not extend to the full width of the slideshow banner, even after I’d disabled the left or right columns in layout options. I am wanting to make the center column width the same as the slideshow banner.  Is there an easy way to do this??  I’m attempting to attach a screen shot showing the bottom of my slideshow banner and the top of the center column, hope it works:

    Thank you.
