    Hello guys,
first i wish you all a very good 2017!

    To my current issue:

    Environment
    WordPress: 4.7
Catch Evolution Pro: 3.4.1 + Child Theme
    PHP-Version: 5.6.29 (web-server)
    MySQL-Version: 5.5.52 (web-server)
    WP Memory Limit: 256MB

I tried to update my WP-Installation from 4.6.1 to 4.7 and i recognized big problems (see please following link to know more about. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/after-4-7-update-site-is-lost-no-chances-to-re-login/#post-8573467).

With a really great help from WP-forum, i could execute the update but now, if i try to set on Appearence -> Customize, i get a blank page (if i go back i go beack to the normally WP-backend).
The same strange thing happens if i try to go to Appereance -> “Header” and Appereance -> Background.
If i set define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false); on “true” in wp-config.php i can read following error warning:
“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 86017 bytes) in /home/astroliv/public_html/wp-includes/pomo/streams.php on line 201”
The file name .php seems to be not important, every time i call the function it appears another .php-name.

Otherwise, If i set the site on the theme Twenty sixteen, i can reach all 3 functions again.
Now, i am very doubtful. I am not able to determine if the problem is basically sourcing in WP-kernel or in my theme or someting others…

Thank a lot in advance for your suggestions.

    Kind Regard
    Ernesto

PS. the same request ist posted in WP-Forum (see link at the beginning)

@serpico57: Thank you and we wish you a very wonderful 2017 too.
The above problem is a server problem rather than the theme or WordPress. Please contact you server for allocating/increase the memory limit. Have you installed any plugins? Try disabling it and try with that too.
Let me know if any problem.

    Regards,
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,

you are right! It seems to be WooCommerce (V. 2.6.11) responsible for this kind of crash.

Regarding to this plugin, I would remember you that last oktober 2016, your development-dept has released a version to fix an issue related with the side-bar/layout page of Catch Evolution Pro. Perhaps, the actual problem is connected with this kontext. I’m guessing the latter now!

Following the link and the Sakin’s mail about:

    Mail:
    Hello Ernesto,

If you are editing that particular page then it will be change only on that particular page. It won’t change for all. If you want to change for all the page then you need to change from “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Layout Options”

But WooComemrce take but different in Catch Evolution pro theme. In WooCommerce page, it check for “WooCommerce Sidebar”. If there is widgets in “Woocommerce Sidebar” then it will show both sidebar or single sidebar as per your layout setup in “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Layout Options”. But if you don’t have widget in “WooCommerce Sidebar” then it will just display page without sidebar.

We will wok on adding “Woocommerce Layout” in next version update. Thanks for the detail info.

    Regards,
    Sakin

@serpico57: What actually seems to be the problem? The layout options is working properly, both default and woocommerce.

    Hi Mahesh,

Yes, all seems to work properly (layout options etc.). As I already said to you, the only thing that is not running is the access to the “Appearance” setting. If i deactivate WooCommerce runs “Appearance” function again. I tought, i show you what recently happened in order to give you a better overview related to this issue.

But let’s wait for an answer from my provider regarding memory limit as you advised.
    I didn’t know that the hosting-provider can increase/decrease performances (i’m a beginner, don’t forget…!).

    Many thanks
    Regards

    Hi Mahesh,

PROBLEM SOLVED ! System works now perfectly !

The Host-provider added the file php.ini to my installation and following line in .htaccess:
    SuPHP_ConfigPath /home/astroliv/public_html/php.ini

In php.ini following line was also added:
    memory_limit = 128M

I’m afraid to cause this unnecessary engagement.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your accurate suggestion!! It was the right way! Great job!

    Best Regard

    Ernesto
