I was wondering if it is possible to remove/move the search function that is located on the front page?

@dev: Yes you can remove it. Are you using Catch Everest Free Theme? If you want remove the search in header right of Catch Everest Free theme. Then just go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Header Right Section” and check “Disable Header Right Section” to remove it.

This also disables the social network links no? is there a way to disable just the search box…I tried adding the tags showing under other posts to my CSS box but that didn’t seem to work either.

@aaloovinc: You can just add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#header-right .widget_search { display: none; }
