I would like to add an image slideshow to some of my posts.  I would like the design of the slideshow to match the style (branding) of the image slider on the homepage, so that everything looks consistent on my website.  Is there a plugin or some other theme option that I can use to create an image slideshow that matches the slider?

@LandUnknown: For image slideshow, yes you need to search for plugin. Search here http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ and find the best fit for you.

@asfh91: This topic has been answered a lot of time in various forum thread. I am posting it again here as well. Catch Everest free theme only have option to add in “Featured Post Slider” which highlight the posts.

1. First create the Post and don’t forget to add in the Featured Image in the post as this image is used in the slider. To add featured image see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

2. Then get the ID of the post. When you edit your post or write a post. you will see the id in your browser address bar. You will also be able to see the post ID in “All Posts” section. But if you cannot find it then you can use this plugin to view it http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/catch-ids/

3. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. Add in the post id.

Hi, you just want to make image slideshow with your photos. I recommend you the best tool to create slideshows with Kvisoft Photo Slide Show Maker.

Hi Sakim, recently I download this Catch-Everest theme, and I have a problem with the number of image can I display in the slider. I upload 3 images to the /images folder, set the number of images in the Slider Options, but only show 2 images. I´m new in this things. sorry!
Could you help me?

@albertoc: You are not supposed to do that from your image folder. See the instruction mentioned above. If you are using Free Catch Everest Theme, then you can use the Featured Post Slider only.

I have added multiple slides, but still only the first one will show.

@lukecutler: Looks like there is conflict with your other slider plugin such as Nivo Slider and Responsive slider. Can you try disabling plugin one by one and check in.
