Hi there,

I am using Chique Pro for my site and on this particular page http://www.alannamax.co.uk/lulus-first-day/
I add “More” from the layout tools to the bottom of the page which is supposed to create show the content before the line in excerpt but it doesn’t function. Do I need to do anything else to activate it , please?

Can you please let me know what you are trying to achieve on Lulus First Day page?
Are you trying to add a read more button which when clicked shows the full content of the page?

Yes, that is exactly what I am trying to do 🙂
I thought ‘More’ would achieve that but it doesn’t seem to work.

Just wanted to let you know that I have been trying to add the read more button by using Classic Block – Insert Read More Tag but I still cannot add it. I set my excerpt length to 150 words but nothing changed. This is the page I was experimenting with.

@fay-erek: Hello Fay,
The Read More tag only works for blog posts that show up on an archive page and not on single post/page.
It is not possible to display the excerpt on a page and then when clicked on a button display the full content.

What you can do is paginate the page
Insert the code <!--nextpage--> to break a single page contents to multiple pages.

Hi Skandha,

I am wondering why the classic block has the option if it won’t add it to the block? I must say Chique Pro is a little lame and I am not sure if it was paying for the PRO version.
I don’t want to paginate the page though, anyways, I will find another solution.
