Hi, I can’t figure out how to make the first / most recent post on my homepage appear in blog style with a title, large picture and excerpt?

I only want this style for the first / most recent post with the remaining posts underneath staying how they are with featured thumbnail images and excerpts. My website is http://www.isleofflora.com

@sarag: Sorry I don’t get it what you mean. As you homepage has featured image, title, and excerpt. But if you want large featured image then you need to change theme to like Catch Everest theme.

Hi sorry if I wasn’t clear, I’d like the first / most recent post on my website to look something like they do on these websites: http://minimalistbaker.com/ http://detoxinista.com/

They have a large picture and excerpt for their most recent post then they have thumbnails and excerpts following underneath their latest post. Is it possible to code this in rather than changing themes?? I just want to change the first post and keep the older posts looking the same.

@sarag: Sorry there is no option to do that. For that you need to build child theme and edit the query to show full content for post post.
