How do I change the permalink for my home page. My site map shows it as http://familyancestree.com/untitled-6 but my dashboard-edit page just shows http://familyancestree.com/. All of my other pages allow me to edit the permalink but the home page. My site has not been crawled yet so I would like to get his changed so I don’t have to create a 301 redirect. Thanks for your help.

I figured it out. On the dashboard clicked Settings-General and it let me change it. Thank you.

Thought I figured it out but that didn’t work. It changed the name of every page. I just want the home URL to be http://www.familyancestree.com/ancestry. I don’t want the /ancestry to carry over to every page

@jccaro: You cannot just add extra link in the homepage. Homepage will always be your primary URL. If you add any base slug then it will add to all other pages as well.

I should have known that. The problem is when I create a site-map, it titles that page http://www.familyancestry.com/untitled-6. How do I remove the /untitled-6?

@jccaro: Where is your site map and what is the problem. This page http://familyancestree.com/untitled-6 is link page. You can edit this link page and adjust the link.

This is not a theme issues.
