I am a novice, so I apologize in advance for my general verbage.

I’m trying to create a clickable static set of links under the menu on my homepage. You can see where I’ve attempted it with the image slider.

I’d like to have a basic menu and then below it have clickable categories similar to this website where you can click on the DIY category for example.

How can I do something like the image slider but without the sliding?

I figured out how to accomplish with a plug in but still wonder if there’s a better way.
