    “Catch Everest Slider Linking” has a number of searching, but not much for answers. I’m sure Sakin will have some answers for us under this new topic. The two main questions asked:

    1. How to stop the front page post sliders from linking back to the post of origination. We have found these possible answers:

    .slider-image {
    pointer-events: none;
    cursor: none;
    }

    or

    .slider-cycle {
    pointer-events: none;
    cursor: none;
    }

    What are your comments?

    2. Similar to question 1., but rather how to re-link to another page on the site. I took a day a couple of weeks ago and accomplished it, but I’m an old fellow and forgot how I did it šŸ™

    The site is http://simplewithatwist.ca/
    Clicking on the second slider of the two ladies it now takes you to the ā€œBioā€ page which is what we want.

    I plan to spend today figuring out what I did, but wanted comments from the Pro! There will eventually be a page with what answers we come up with at:

    @drshento: You are using Catch Everest Free version, where you have only one option to use in Slider. That is only Featured Post Slider, which is created to highlight your post in the slider. So, it will be liked to the post. The only option to remove that link will be to build child theme and remove the permalink.
    But if you upgrade to Catch Everest Pro version, you will get “Featured Image Slider”, where you can upload the image and leave the link empty or to the desire URL. See this screenshot of Pro version http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798329509357/ and also check out the theme instruction page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/

    I don’t understand your second question and also your link is not opening.

    Thank you, Sakin, for excellent prompt service. I donā€™t understand how you do it all! Iā€™ll be trying to sell the customer on the Catch Everest Pro version or maybe pay for it myself. Yes, Pro is the simple answer to many requests.
    The first link I gave should work today, the second lin is not completed yet. It should be by tomorrow.

    My second question is answered by Catch Everest Pro use and by your excellent answer to @Annie Post Link: http://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/read-more-links-leading-to-404/#post-24180

    At present, I am using the permalink set in ā€œCustom Structureā€ with /bio added so it reads simplewithatwist.ca/bio
    This makes both my slider images go to the same page /bio. That is why I was asking how to change the permalink setting for an individual post. Then I could have the other image linked to where I want it.

    @drshento: Sorry there is no option is WordPress to have different permalink setting settings just for BIO. As I have already replied in http://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/read-more-links-leading-to-404/ that permalink is WordPress core features and cannot be controlled with Theme. So, you have to remove that bio from your permalink settings. I have one option for your post slider. You can install “redirection” plugin and then redirect your slider post to the url you want through the plugin.

    Sakin, you went beyond the call of duty in looking after a WordPress issue! Thank you. The “redirection” plugin worked great so I made a web page on it at WordPress Permalinks Relinking

    Thanks again.

    I finally found a simple answer to enabling individual Catch Everest Slider images to link to their related pages. It amounts to editing the WordPress Permalink for each slider post to direct it to the pertaining page.

    The answer is give in detail at Catch Everest Theme Slider Linking.

    Thanks again for good support and a very worthy WP Theme in Catch Everest. I always appreciate further comments or corrections.
