I have uploaded the latest version of the free version of Jomsom theme through the WordPress admin uploader. The default theme appears to load on the site just fine, but when I try to access the Appearance > Customize section I just get a blank screen. The left column to navigate customization options is there — but nothing is in it that I can select for customization. The wider preview section on the right is completely blank.
I am running the latest version of WordPress.
The domain is http://www.bigyellowsticky.comApril 27, 2016 at 12:11 pm #90507MaheshParticipant@dontheideaguy: Customizer in Jomsom Theme is working fine on our server with latest version of WordPress. Are you using any plugins? If yes try disabling it and check if the issue resolves. Do you get any error messages in the customizer? Also try installing the theme from WordPress repo directly from Dashboard=> Appearance=> Themes=> Add New.
Let me know further.Regards,

Here is a list of the plugins which were originally active:
Easy Forms for MailChimp from YIKES
Insert Headers and Footers from WPBeginner
Jetpack by WordPress.com from Automattic
Limit login attempts from Johan Eenfeldt
Quick Feature Images from Martin Stehle
ShareThis from ShareThis Team
SumoMe from SumoMe
TinyMCE Advanced from Andrew Ozz
Tumblr Importer from wordpressdotorgHere is a screen capture of the Customize page.

There are no errors — nothing loads. All the other Admin areas of the WP site work and load correctly.I then tried switching to a different theme and entered the Customize area and it loaded correctly and as expected.
Then I deleted the Jomsom theme from WP and downloaded the theme again from your website and tried re-installing it per your instructions of Dashboard=> Appearance=> Themes=> Add New (which IS the way I originally installed it).
Unfortunately, now with a fresh install, zero active plugins, etc. I am getting the exact same result. Everything works, but I can’t get anything to load on the Customize screen beyond what appears in the screenshot linked above.
What else can I try?
NOTE: In case this helps…
I am using a Toshiba laptop running Windows 8.
I’ve tried loading the Customize page in the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox.April 28, 2016 at 11:01 am #90598MaheshParticipant@dontheideaguy: We’ll have to check in your server for the issue. Please fill up this form in the link below with your issue and details and let me know when you’ve submitted the form and our team will check the issue.

I have opened a ticket with the hosting company to upgrade the version of PHP and will report back after the change has been made with an update.
Thank you for your help.

I heard back from the host — they aren’t running any PHP version above 5.4 and said if the theme only supports that version they recommend using different theme. Is the issue worth pursuing from your end to see if you can make it work on PHP 5.4 or was it only designed to work with 5.6 ?
Let me know your thoughts on making it work within the limits I have or if I would need really need to get an upgraded version of PHP to make it function properly.
Thanks.
~DONMay 3, 2016 at 12:17 pm #90919MaheshParticipant@dontheideaguy: It is highly recommended to upgrade PHP version to 5.6 or greater. WordPress also works with PHP 5.2.4+ and MySQL 5.0+, but these versions have reached official End Of Life and as such may expose your site to security vulnerabilities.
