I have added the featured content area at the top for the most current posts. I had to turn on post ID and use the ‘Featured Post’ Category to get the positioning correct.
I’d prefer to use Featured Category because that makes it easier to just change the category of the post when posts are no longer current, and assign them to an archive category. However, when using the Featured Category they are not in the proper descending order (newest first) but instead the oldest (of current category) posts shows on the left position and the newer post shows on the far right position. For displaying posts we would want the newest to show on the left. I couldn’t find any setting that allowed this so for now I have resorted to assigning the posts using the post ID. This is not ideal. Can you point me to where I can reorder the featured content?
