Hello,
I designed a site a few years ago with this theme, and over the years the person handling the site did not update the theme. My question is, do I need to update to each version or can I update to the current 4.s version and skip the other versions?

If I have to update to lower versions first, where do I find them?

@rayne: Please post in your site URL so that I can look into your version, Intermediate version isn’t available you can update to the new version but before updating make sure you back up all your files. Let me know if you face any issue after update.

@rayne:Please Back up your theme using Catch Updater Plugin and also back up your Database file, There might occur issue since you haven’t updated the theme yet. If there occur any issue let me know I will be happy to assist you.

OK, I just tried to update the theme and this is what it told me:
The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

All updates have been completed.

Did you
1. Download the updated theme version from catch themes
2, Upload it via ‘add theme’ in WordPress ?

The theme cannot be updated directly from within WP you must update the file.

(That’s my experience at any rate).

Oh, ok, I will try that! I was just trying to update from within WordPress. Thank you for all the links and I’ll keep you posted in the next day or two. No time to do this now until the weekend.

Hi Sapana,

I downloaded and installed the Catch Web Tools, but I can’t find the Adventurous PRO theme, only the Adventurous theme. Does this mean I need to repurchase this theme? If so, will I (my client) have to repurchase it every year? (That’s probably why my client never updated the theme, since they are a non-profit.)

@rayne: All of our premium themes come with an initial 1-year subscription. This means that you can download the updates until a year of purchase date. However, after one year, you will have to renew your subscription manually for the new updates.

So, you can use the pro theme for lifetime but you will be able to download theme updates for one year from your subscription date. After your subscription expires you will need to renew your subscription by paying again to be able to download latest theme updates. For more information please read out terms and conditions.

Ah, got it. Good news, I purchased and updated the theme, and there doesn’t seem to be any problem! Wheh!

I will let my client know they will have this extra expense every year now.
