SakinKeymaster@nenepretty85: Have you customize the theme. How come you added the Featured Image with same link in all 4 slides. That is supposed to be featured post slider and link to respective posts.

SakinKeymaster@dre2010: To move the logo by 30px up. Just add the following CSS in Theme Options panel.
#site-logo { padding-top: 20px; }
To make featured slider on the home page not a link. You have to use Featured Image Slider which is only there is Catch Everest Pro theme. When you can upload the image, title, content and links all optional. You can just add image or any combination.
Why you need to make .sb-holder, position absolute?

dre2010Memberhey thanks for the help. i was away on holiday..i sorted it out back to where i want it. i still have a few bugs to weed out.
how can i make the featured slider on the home page not a <a href> ‘link’.?
and also on the style.css if i change the .sb-holder {
position: relative; }
to absolute the menu will overlay the footer and it then shows the entire menu better. although the body of the page is then underneath the menu. how can i fix this so the drop down menu shows everything but wont be layered over the body content.
thanks in advance

SakinKeymaster@anapper: Catch Everest Free theme only have Featured Post Slider. This means you can only add in your posts as Featured Slider. The image, title, and content are taken from the post.
1. First create the Post and don’t forget to add in the Featured Image in the post as this image is used in the slider. To add featured image see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
2. Then get the ID of the post. When you edit your post or write a post, you will see the id in your browser address bar. Also you will see the Post ID in All Posts section. But if you cannot find it then you can use this plugin to view it http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/catch-ids/
3. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. Add in the post id.
April 18, 2013 at 11:09 am #7243SakinKeymaster@jccaro: Just add the following CSS in “Custom CSS” box in Theme Options panel. Reduce the margin top as per your need.
#homepage-message { margin-top: 10px; }

danskvandMemberHi
I have a similar problem with the slider image. The page is:
I have added 2 sliders so far. When I roll over the text part of the slider (title and short description), then it links to the correct destination, which is:
http://www.tarm-handel.dk/markedsdage-i-tarm/
When I pull the mouse over the image, then a ” sign is beeing added on the URL, which leads to an invalid page:
http://www.tarm-handel.dk/markedsdage-i-tarm/”
How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Costas

2. Then get the ID of the post. When you edit your post or write a post. you will see the id in your browser address bar. You will also be able to see the post ID in “All Posts” section. But if you cannot find it then you can use this plugin to view it http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/catch-ids/

SakinKeymaster@andrewshen: Please take a look at “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider”. There you have to select Featured Post Slider and activate it. And for Homepage Featured Content look at “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage Settings”.
I will also contact you through email in case you have problem.

SakinKeymaster@alisonmckellar: Sorry this is more of technical. If you know about it then I can suggest you to change it. But I recommend you to use Featured Image Slider instead of Featured Post Slider where you can upload the image of your own size.
