Ahhh. I’ve been using iThemes security for a long time, with no problems. The other day I installed Mailchimp by ibericode. If I deactivate one or the other, Catch Customize doesn’t work. But if I deactivate iThemes and Mailchimp at the same time, then Customize does work! So, is it ok to just deactivate them when I need to customize and then turn them on again? If so, that’s fine. Would it cause any problems to do that? I don’t know if it would cause any problems on the backend.

Thanks for the suggestion. I should have thought of that, as I do know that deactivating plugins is usually the first port of call for troubleshooting. I just wasn’t thinking.

As I mentioned, I did add my social links to the footer via the theme customisation page, but the links aren’t appearing. I have hidden the top right widget in the header because I don’t want social icons or a search form in that location, but I have not hidden the css element “.social-profile” or related elements in the footer, so I’m not sure why it’s not appearing. This is the url: http://www.rosie-posie.com

    Thanks

I’m also having a problem with social icons. They are not appearing. I am using WP 4.2.2 and Catch Flames. I have edited “Social Links” in the customisation section and added my facebook and twitter url’s to appear in the footer, but they are not appearing. Also, there is no social icon widget appearing in the widget area of WP, so therefore I can’t add social links in sidebars either. Can you help?
