I forgot. It is the website of one of my other activities.
It is a kind of discussion platform. As you can see in the front page. It is a picture of an old Greek market where discussions were going.
The URL is http://www.synforum.nl. It is a website under construction. The inlog (after you add: admin) is: Hans. The password is leusdenfort33.
I tried a lot but I did not succeed.I don’t like to birder you again.

This also isn’t a solution. I think I did not explain well what I mean.
In this solution the head text has after additional css the same width
I should like to have a broader text area and a more narrow sidebar area.

What I now see is a smaller picture in the sidebar an a bigger gap between the head text and te picture.

Is there e possibility to upload a screenshot. Then I can explain exactly what I want.

This is not what I want. This is the height. It should be the width.
I think ” height”. is replaceable by width. If that works, all is ok for me.

It is my mening to make this light grey area smaller.
In the mean time I have discovered how to make the sidebar smaller. But I im not able to make the light grey area smaller.

I was not clear, I think. It isn’t the sidebar before footer, but the sidebar after post. See: http://www.hagmeijer.nl/uncategorized/start2bike-training-mtb-september/
It is the sidebar at the right side of the page. That sidebar should be smaller.
Problem also is the background color of the sidebar. This color stays gray.

Unfortunately it seems not to work. Just before I would transfer the website to the domain toerfietsleusden.nl I saw that it worked for the first post. It does not work for the second and third one.
You can see this at Hagmeijer.nl You have to login with bestuur (username) and bestuur (password).

I hope you have a solution for that.

Another question. After I input the code not only the front page has an opacity, but all the pages. It should be only the front page with image as background. The other pages have to stay withe.

It has no result if I try to use one of the pictures of the media library.

If you go to http://www.hagmeijer.nl/testpagina-blog/ you see an excerpt of a post with a picture. That is fine.
If you click on the post to read the whole post, you see at http://www.hagmeijer.nl/uncategorized/start2bike-training-mtb-september/ the whole post and an the same picture above the post.
What I want if it is possible is to remove the picture above the post, because there is already a picture in the header.
