Is there anyone who can help me with my problem. I am at my wits end trying to figure out how to put the gallery onto my website. i am not seeing what everyone must be on their sites. Is there something else that I have to download to get it to work?

I am desperate for help. I will accept advice from anyone who knows how to do this very simple thing. I have added galleries on other websites with no problem whatsover. Why is this so difficult?

Hi Sakin,
I had already read the post that you attached, thanks anyway.
my problem is that I don’t know a few things that are not explained in those instructions.
1. Do I have to create a page on my top menu called gallery first.

2. then when I create the gallery called Alfresco e.g. Do I create the gallery called Alfresco, update it, then attach a featured image, update and then add media and select add gallery and choose my images. I have got that far.
3.I do not know what to do with the shortcode. apart from see it in the visual editor. What do I have to do with it.

I am starting to think that I might have to reinstall the theme. the last time I had problems with the widgets I ended up installing WordPress then it worked. I have been looking and trying everything conceivable for two days.
Can you help me? I have read and reread everything that you have attached but it is just not working.

Hello Sakin,
I am still trying everything to get the photo gallery working. I have created a gallery with images in it. I have finally read on another website not even connected with Catch Mustang that the shortcode is in the visual tab. OK I know now where to find it now and I am guessing that the shortcode will be pasted into the page that is called Gallery.
So I do this, still not working. I have been researching this one little problem that is stopping my near completed website from being complete for a whole day. Can you let me know what step I am not doing.

@kz2284. I am wondering if you can tell me how to actually get the images to appear in the /gallery/portfolio. I have searched high and low for the answers. It’s 11pm here and I am wondering if you can tell me step by step. I have added the images to a gallery called eg decking and they are there in the Gallery but not when I preview the page. Hi, am I allowed to join in or is it considered bad manners. It is just that kz2284 has created a gallery that I think looks great. Could she let me know exactly how she got it like that. I can only get as far as the featured image on the gallery page. I don’t know how to match up the images in the gallery folder. Please help urgently.

I am still trying to work out how to show my images in the gallery. When I look at the gallery page, all the photos are there in the gallery box that shows on the page. But I just can’t see them anywhere.
I just read this on one of your pages.

You can add in gallery in page and post by uploading images from the image uploader then add in the shortcode for gallery.

Where do I get the shortcode for the gallery and where do I put it.

I need to get this info fairly fast, I am on the clock for this website.

Hi Sakin, Just to let you know what I have done in the meantime, I deleted Catch Mustang Theme from my website and put Catch Everest Free version in its place. I tested the widgets in that theme and they all worked. Then I upload from my computer Catch Mustang again and the widgets were not working.
What I am going to do is delete everything, as I didn’t get far and see if the widgets work before I add any images or plugins. I will keep you informed of this issue.

Thanks for the Pinterest link. The only thing that I wasn’t doing was clicking on the URL Link. That made the difference. Everything was sized correctly so I couldnt understand why the images wouldn’t upload. So it was just clicking on the URL button before clicking “Insert into Post”
Thanks for the quick response. I was just about to change themes, but I love this one.

Hi Sakin,
I have only just started today to build on the website. I hadn’t had an opportunity to remove any widgets from the homepage. I had started to upload images in the slider and had problems with that which I will respond to your answer in the correct thread.
I have deactivated the theme, deactivated all plugins and then started again. I still can’t move or open any widgets. The first one that I put in was the Featured map location on the contact page which didn’t look right and then when I went to fix it, the widget for the contact page wouldn’t open. So far the only plugin that I have now is the contact form7 which I have deactivated just to see if it was that but the widgets weren’t working even then. I am at a loss to figure why none are working.
