I am not aware, if deleting an author will help, because the author has to stay, he is the admin and all posts would be transferred to another author, which would be just a user.

How does the Shutter Up Theme generate the author page?

You could look it up yourself, it has the following url permalink:
https://priestofelohim.com/author/nadinetpunkt/

Look at the post previews generated for that author. They are giving the nickname of and link to the wrong author “benyamin“, but should instead they need to show “nadinetpunkt” as the correct nickname for that author.

I have two users and a test user, but when I go to admin and user’s page, the link to edit them has following urls:

wp-admin/profile.php?wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php
wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=2&wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php
wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=3&wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php

On the edit page, there are several options for names: user name display name, public name.

The authr’s page that has this error is:
https://priestofelohim.com/author/nadinetpunkt/

It generates in the description for the preview box of the article a link with wrong display name “benyamin“, for example:

I have the Authors List Plugin but have not activated the author page there.

It should still be the default wordpress author page I think.

Can you check?
