MichaelParticipant
Again that works – thank you so much.
If I might ask just one additional little thing.
I have this as per the high-responsive theme:
blockquote { border:0 solid #1a1a1a; border-left-width:4px; color:#777; font-size:19px; font-style:italic; line-height:1.4736842105; margin:0 0 1.4736842105em; overflow:hidden; padding:0 0 0 1.263157895em; background:none; }
and would like to keep that as is, but merely add the quote symbol from the simple-catch theme,
(https://catchthemes.com/demo/simplecatch/wp-content/themes/simple-catch/images/blockquote-bg.jpg)leaving all else the same.
And if you could tell me where to put the symbol so it can be referenced locally rather than having to call on the catch themes sites each time, that would be best.I hope this makes sense.
Thank you again.
MichaelParticipantPlease disregard. I figured it out.
(I had set a sidebar as the site default. So I removed that and set sidebar onblog page only thorugh the actual page editor. Sorted 🙂 )
MichaelParticipantMatthew – if you are able to provide the solution link I’d be interested in reading it. Ta.
MichaelParticipantYep does well.
Is there a way that I can indent the blockquote (including the vertical line) a bit further from the LHS of the page please?
Also if you could provide the code for the blockquote style from the Simple Catch theme, I’d really appreciate that too. https://catchthemes.com/demo/simplecatch/html-elements/
MichaelParticipantSo the live site shows the menu (and it works?), but the actual customizer doesn’t showany such menu as existing? That is odd.
Are you using the standard theme or a child theme?
Was the menu in a previous standard theme, or child theme?I note Skandha’s request:
Please post in your site URL if the issue persists.
and am wondering why you haven’t done so?
That would probably be very useful for the Catch themes people to help diagnose the issue.
MichaelParticipantNote I am just another user, not official in any way. Having said that –
I think the back end you refer to is exactly what Skandha is referring to when he says customizer.
Did you try Skandha’s advice re the cache?
What (if anything) happened? Any changes to how it shows either in the “:back end” or live page? What’s the URL? Given I don’t have it cached I can tell you what the live site looks like from my computer, which may assist you to narrow down the possible cause.
Cheers
MichaelParticipantMy site: http://www.landyvlad.net
The link to ‘Piwigo Gallery’ in the menu opens a new tab taking visitors here:

October 16, 2017 at 10:26 pm in reply to: how to prevent auto-format of phone number in footer? #124438MichaelParticipantIs there a way to PREVENT that from happening? (eg force display and not allow external apps to do anything?).

MichaelParticipantHave you lodged a support ticket with your web host provider? The issue sounds to be at their end.
This doesn’t appear to be in any way a theme based issue.October 8, 2017 at 10:24 pm in reply to: Issue with Appearance – Customise menu (not visible in Google Chrome browser) #123921MichaelParticipantWill do, when I’m next at home, thanks.

October 3, 2017 at 10:47 pm in reply to: Theme like Everest but with image slider rather than post slider ? #123584MichaelParticipantOK we purchased the pro theme – thank you that deals with the image slider issue.
But if you can give me the link where the specifics of each type of slider are explained that would be helpful, thanks.
October 3, 2017 at 8:23 am in reply to: Theme like Everest but with image slider rather than post slider ? #123548MichaelParticipantWhich link?
October 3, 2017 at 1:14 am in reply to: Theme like Everest but with image slider rather than post slider ? #123505MichaelParticipantFurther to the above:
I currently run Adventurous (or rather Adventurous Pro) on another website and it allows me to have a slider of select images, however in the description under free themes – “Adventurous” it states that it is a featured post slider?
Can you explain what a featured PAGE slider is? Can this be used just as a featured image slider instead?
Perhaps a video (ideally) or at least a section on your website, clearly explaining the difference between the various slider types, would be really good.
Cheers
MichaelParticipantThank You.
