I figured out the issue – there appears to be an incompatibility with this theme and the Better WP Security plugin. Once I disabled that plugin the theme worked as expected.

There are lots of individual security options you can enable within the plugin however I didn’t try to track down which specific option caused the issue.

I added the additional css and it does force the menu text to render 14px but the remaining content still shows up larger – for example:

    http://www.oakstrongrealty.com/sample-page/

This is utterly bizarre – when I initially set the site up and applied this theme everything worked fine so I assumed it was due to the newest version of chrome which I recently downloaded but now I don’t believe that’s the case even though it only seems to occur in chrome. If I use an older version of chrome I still see the same problem (prior to updating the css for force 14px as you suggested). As you pointed out it does seem to only be this site yet everything is stock – I’ve made very few edits (mainly just adding the additional menus/pages). I even deleted the theme and re installed it but I still see the same problem.

Thanks for your help on this.
